Sara and Johnny playing an acoustic set, including Airline To Heaven, on the gallows exhibit was one of my favorite moments.

The pass has been sent to a good home...thanks.

My wife and I planned on taking my son to the Solid Sound Festival, however, an unforeseen nomination to the Little League All Star team has left us with an extra ticket. I am willing to give my extra pass away, free of charge. I will even pay for postage. I know in this cynical world this offer will arouse suspicion and be cause for skepticism. There is no catch, I promise, I only have a few conditions. 1. It would be unbelievably bad Karma to sell for profit a ticket that you obtained for free, so please do not simply re-sell the pass. 2. This is not a contest. I will simply read all the r

Is there anyway possible to obtain a digital copy of the recent live acoustic performance of Spiders? I've been playing the song non-stop on the Wilco site via the Roadcase, but I would love to get a copy I can bring on the road. Such a beautiful version of an otherwise rockin' song. Thanks.

I've been to 6 Wilco shows and 2 Tweedy solo gigs. All eight have reminded me of how much I truly love the band. Although after the few last concerts I've been to, I am starting to feel that this may be a one sided love affair. No matter though. I promised myself that if I ever had a chance to meet any members of the band, I would simply thank them for touring so frequently. When I met Jeff "backstage" at a benefit show in Chicago I didn't try to use my 30 seconds to gush or to create some bond of friendship that really can't exist in the fan/star dynamic. I said, "Thank you for touring

I'm not sure if there is a heaven or hell....but if there is...The Wiggles will be playing in the elevator that is heading down.

Happy Birthday Jeff from the Shattuck-Lubell Family!!! We had a great time meeting you at the Emmannuel Congregation show. Don't worry I've heard that 42 is the new 40

What a great picture. When Susan came around asking for requests, I originally asked for The Ruling Class, then changed my mind to Solitaire. While riding back on the CTA I thought that I should have asked for Be Not So Fearful...and there it was on the list..arghhh....great show. I agree the meet and greet felt as awkward as Jeff looked. But my fiancee got our photo op which is now prominently displayed on the mantle.

What a weekend. Just got back home in Virginia Beach after a days travel from Chicago. What a show last night. My fiance Mara and I had a great time meeting all the good folks from VC. We were sitting right behind The Dude, nice job on the lyrics. I thought the set list was fantastic, as was the sound quality. Mara and I are both very jealous of you Chicagoans. What a great city with a great hometown band. We are crossing our fingers for a winter residency.

My fiance and I are heading to the show from Virginia Beach. We cut into our honeymoon budget and splurged for the VIP tix. If the event is short on volunteers, we would be happy to help before the show. We get into town late Friday night and have no plans besides the show on Saturday.

Think he will play The Ruling Class in a synagogue?
-
Any idea what month they will be doing their week long residency? I was right there with you. WTF, why post that?

My fiance and I are staying at the Best Western for this show. It's only 4 miles from the venue, and I think the CTA runs between both places. Best Western University Plaza 1501 Sherman Ave Evanston, IL 60201

I am amazed at the amount of people that rank WTA above SBS????? I like the new album very much, but I wonder if the folks that rank SBS so low have heard these songs live. I just caught the Wolf Trap show in VA last week and Hate It Here was one of the best songs of the night. Opinions are opinions and VC Nation has plenty of them to around, but how can you dismiss songs like Hate It Here, Leave Me How You Found Me, Walken, SBS, and Either Way as overly simplistic, and yet go bonkers for You and I???? anyyyywayyyyy here is my list 1. YHF 2. AGIB 3. BT 4. SBS 5. ST 6. WTA 7. AM Leave

" I want to hold you in my arms and sway, kiss and ride on the CTA" goes through my mind at least once a day, and I'm not from Chicago. Weird.

Very provocative, Jeff would be proud

Thanks for all of the good advice. I am marrying a very nice Jewish girl, so the venue would be perfect for Jeff to officiate the wedding I think it's the same synagogue where Spencer Tweedy had his Bar Mitzvah.

I am going to the upcoming Jeff Tweedy solo show in Chicago this August and I have a question for VC Nation. As a kind of pre-wedding honeymoon my gal and I decided to splurge and buy VIP tickets, which grants us access to a "meet and greet" with Jeff after the show. Here is my question: Would it be out of line to ask Jeff to take a quick picture with us? I've watched footage of Jeff politely field some of the most ridiculous questions ever posed to a human, let alone a celebrity. I would like to thank him for making beautiful music and touring so frequently, then ask for the pic. The last t

I was about 7 rows behind you to your left. That was awesome, well played. quote name='abefromanohio' date='09 July 2009 - 11:58 PM' timestamp='1247201901' post='1346499'] Last night, Jeff let me play his guitar from the stage. He walked to the front of the stage, handed me his purple guitar pick, and we played Spiders together. He played the notes, and I picked/strummed. It was one of the greatest nights of my life. http://wolftrapinsider.blogspot.com/
