I always recall that being a stand out track on the So Many Roads boxset.

I listened to a some of it. The songs sort of sounded like something you would hear on a early 1970s movie soundtrack.

I was digging around online to find out info about her the other day. She made an album that you can listen to by way of Youtube.

There is a much better documentary called 25 x 5: The Continuing Adventures of The Rolling Stones. It came out in 1989. I think it is still only available on VHS. But I am sure there must a digitized version out there.

At the end of the film (Gimme Shelter) you can see them getting in the helicopter. (At least I think that is right. It has been a long time since I have seen that movie.)

There also a new Riders of The Purple Sage boxset coming out from the Owsley Foundation.

It would be nice to see The Jayhawks, UT, Wilco, Blue Mountain, Whiskeytown, Old 97s, etc. in there. But I agree with you - I will be surprised if any of those bands ever get inducted.

Me too - I think I recall reading about his interests in trains years ago. I can't recall if he talks about it in his book.

I think he also looked after Jimmy Page for a time. I am guessing that is how Jimmy ended up playing with the Crowes. The Black Crowes reunite on The Howard Stern Show. I have always liked several of the songs from the first album. But like the first Pearl Jam album - the production is too slick. I am curious to hear what they are doing with these songs now though. I would think Chris will get tired of playing the same songs the same way every night.

He told some on his radio show several years ago. They shared a manager - Pete Angelus.

Does he tell his David Lee Roth stories?

I have not read it yet. I am hoping it shows up in e-book form on my local library's website. It used to be such things would not happen. But they recently got the new SRV book which was rather good.

It's about the money I would say.

I wonder how that came to be auctioned? That is my favorite GD time period and Jerry's guitar tone.

Apparently - he and Rich had a falling out over some sort of business a while back.

I plan to read it. But I don't really want to buy it. I am hoping it pops up at my local library. He is also going to have some sort of rock music show on Westwood One now.
