  1. I'm listening to Two From The Vault - Disc 2 this morning. That brings back memories of where I bought it. A record store that no longer exists. The dude that ran the place carried every GD cd there was - even the Dick's Picks that were out in the stores at the time.
  2. At first, they had them taken down - and then a compromise was made that they would leave them up as streams. The reason they blocked the downloads, was due to the band wanting to sell those shows. Or selling them at some point. I think in recent years the SBDs that have been used in a creating a product have been taken down completely. Of course, you can find them elsewhere as I mentioned.
  3. Md5 files are just text files. The GD has blocked all of their SBD shows from being downloaded at archive.org. You can probably find that show at bt.etree.org. For some unknown reason you can still grab all the SBD shows there.
  4. I wonder how Brad ended up on the tour. From what I have read, Aerosmith are working on a new album. They must be doing it in bits and pieces. Your post made me think of the movie Crossroads.
  5. I was reading about the Long Beach Arena (1972-12-15) show last night. It sounds like that may be a show to check out.
  6. Mick Fleetwood talks about that show in his book (if I recall correctly).
  7. I read he had planned to go - but called off at some point close to the ceremony.
  8. Plus - that bit at the end. The Youngbloods had some great songs.
  9. Oh - me too. I don't even own an iPod. I just find things on Youtube if I want to hear something. Plus - as others have pointed out - there are legal streams these days. I guess for me Uncle Tupelo is the best because that is how I got here. Times change, and people make different music. I guess depending on what your musical preferences are you will think they are great, or you won't. My favorite Wilco albums are the first two, and my favorite Son Volt albums are the first two. So - that is where I am at.
  10. I was wondering the same thing. I figure there will be some video out there.
  11. I see. I always start with a band's first album and then go from there. The way things are these days - you can listen to all of them online before you ever buy them. You know that - of course. They made great music.
  12. Why not just buy them all - No Depression Still Feel Gone March 16–20, 1992 Anodyne 89/93: An Anthology
  13. These Days is a Jackson Browne song. I don't care to hear Needle and The Damage Done. It's one of those songs I have heard too many times.
  14. Another great Eyes of The World - the one from 5/26/1973.
  15. Some news about the new Chris album:
  16. What's really cool is reading Monte's stories about taping that show.
  17. Warren Haynes by way of Jambands.com: Greg has a book coming out in May: My Cross To Bear.
  18. It's only bootlegging when someone goes around selling shows. B&P is not bootlegging. The reason they were uptight is that they automatically figured - as do some bands still to this day - that people are taping in order to sell shows. Hell - not too long ago I busted some people trying to sell Wilco shows. It still goes on unfortunately. You may want to check out this book: Bootleg: The Rise And Fall of The Secret Recording Industry (Clinton Heylin)
  19. From what I have read, the band was not to happy when he let that happen. I guess this new Dave's Picks is doing well. I hope they put out some more acoustic/electric shows. Those are often my favorite shows.
  20. And now you can find just about all the SBDs on bt.etree.org. It's funny that even though they only used some of that show - they took the whole SBD off of archive.org.
  21. I've listened to the 1974 show from there a time or two by way of archive.org. Roosevelt Stadium 1974-08-06 That's an epic Eyes of The World. Sometimes when I am down, I watch/listen to Eyes of The World from the movie and it picks me right up.
  22. Speaking of Roosevelt Stadium, this show just appeared on bt.etree.org:
