Wilco — 12/10/11, Detroit, MI (Fillmore Detroit)
Analogman replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
If you didn't find a thread for the show/torrent in the In A Future Age section, then no source has appeared yet. Or no source that has appeared on the popular BT sites anyhow. -

The British view of Americans in 1966: Doctor Who - The Chase (Part 3 - Flight Through Eternity) Check out the accents. This is a great episode. They end up fighting the Daleks, Frankenstein, and Count Dracula all at the same time. -
I don't mess with Mp3s. But - it is not hard to convert FLAC files to Mp3 files. You just have to mess with it a little bit until you get it. Try this (one example): How to convert Flac files to Mp3 using windows

You can search Wilcobase, or the After The Show thread to find out such things. Also - to find out if a recent show has appeared in torrent form, you can check out the In a Future Age section. One of the reasons we created The Wilco Live Show archive was so older shows can be found and downloaded. I don't think I have ever seen the 9/27/2004 show anywhere though. I don't think there is a source for that show out there at the present time.

That's what I was remembering. I read that in a book some where.

I don't know a lot about Steely Dan, but I think a session guy named Elliott Randall played the solo on the album.
-
That's Walter Becker playing the bass.
-
When I was young that is how I felt also - not enough guitar. But - overtime that changed.

Probably best to do what Dave mentioned up above. I guess they have taken those sections offline again.

This worked not to long ago - if it does not work now, there must be a problem with the site. It's really just the Rhino expanded and remastered version with some other stuff thrown in. Those other tracks are not really unreleased, just not currently available.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
Analogman replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
That's the last album of his I bought. I don't think I have listened to it since it came out. -
Deadicated came out that year also. It's funny - I don't care for Leonard Cohen, but Joe Cocker's take on Bird On A Wire is one of my favorite songs.
-
I still say that is weird as hell. I was actually watching some Leslie West and Zakk Wlyde videos yesterday.
-
I wonder how he ever came to do a tour with Uli Jon Roth? Seems like a weird mix.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

From Billboard.com: Clarence Clemons' Nephew Playing Saxophone on Bruce Springsteen Tour -
All great albums - Pet Sounds/Sgt. Pepper/Smile. At least they are to me.

Some good news for those who like the early stuff: By way of Billboard.com:
-
It is a modern term. I like that sort of music myself.
-
The Allman Brothers are not a jamband. They called themselves a rock band, a blues band, and then the term Southern Rock came into play. But - never a jamband.

How The Brits Rocked America: Go West The second part is up. I've never seen that bit of flilm where Neil Young is lying in bed playing Heart Of Gold before. After that part - another reason why critics are full of shit. That music is some of the best music ever made - and it gets dismissed.
-
I'm so old, I remember watching B.J. and The Bear. I don't care for 30 Rock, but that was sort of funny.

Looks like Bill is not too happy: By way of Billboard.com:

I think he was working on something like that a few years ago. I believe he was just putting a number out there, like when people say something cost a "gazzillon dollars". I just meant I am one of those old dudes who believes analog sounds better than digital. And tube amps, and drum sounds, etc. All the old stuff sounds better to me. It's just Neil doing what he does. It's all about sound, cars, and trains.
