  1. I'm going to get some of that coffee.
  2. I think those tracks originated from some guys blog. You can find it if you do a search (Deconstructing ‘Gimme Shelter'). I have seen a lot of that sort of thing out there - due to the Rock Band video game.
  3. We can only hope it is not going to be that sort of deal. I didn't know they were doing a new album. That is good news.
  4. You can see the tracklist by going back a page. As these are two of my favorite albums, I will definitely be getting the re-issues.
  5. Amazon now has a January 18th 2011 release date for Hollywood Town Hall, and Tomorrow The Green Grass. That must be why they are doing shows where they are going to play entire albums.
  6. I think I saw an article online somewhere this morning that seemed to report that they had a lot of problems on opening night. Also, a very early show from Pittsburgh was posted at Dime a Dozen this weekend (1981/04/21 - The Decade, Pittsburgh)(Oakland).
  7. LouisvilleGreg's insider post on the previous page. I don't know where I first heard about it. It may have been during the time when he was doing press interviews for Tracks.
  8. I have to say these songs don't do much for me. I respect the guy, but you can see he was running through his influences to get to his own sound. I read years ago that he wanted to do a live series like The Grateful Dead. It looks like that is in the works. I'd like to see a Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. and The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle re-master next. Lost In The Flood/Spirit in the Night/Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street? are some of my favorite Bruce songs. Bruce Springsteen - The Promise - Molly Presents: Part 1 of 3 (HQ Audio) Maybe we'll get some Child
  9. I'd rather just hear the demos, or the outtakes the way they are. I doubt all the unreleased stuff he has is worth hearing. I forget how much money I paid for Tracks, but I can tell you that I don't sit around listening to the 3rd and 4th discs of that boxset. I am glad he is re-releasing his catalog though. I hope a single cd of the re-mastered Darkness comes out, I would buy that. I probably prefer Bruce's car songs above the rest of his stuff. And Racing In The Street is one of my favorite songs. I think all the tracks from The Promise are on Youtube. I will probably check them out.
  10. There seems to be three rips (so far) out there. The first one was pulled from Dime a Dozen due to errors (but was spread around to various sites), a second rip is up at The Trader's Den (ripped with EAC), and now there is a third one up at Dime a Dozen (ripped with EAC). Also, another AUD source:
  11. A new SBD has made it's way to the world. There are currently two rips from the silver boots out there - one is a rip using EAC, one is not EAC. You can find it on various BT sites, and probably, various audio blogs in the next few days.
  12. You could do a search in the In a Future Age section, or Wilcobase.
  13. That is true. As far as country music goes, there is also the early Dolly and Porter stuff to check out.
  14. Apparently there was something wrong with some of the tracks. The taper had posted a fixed version: The Black Crowes - The Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA - 11-19-10
  15. Another One For Woody @ Roseland Ballroom, November 22 Rich and Luther were there, and also, Audley Freed. I grabbed this last night off of Dime a Dozen. The electric set is suppose to be really good. I am listening to it now, and it does sound like they were hittin' the note.
  16. I happened to be at Walmart last night, and noticed their CD aisles are now down to two. They did have plenty of country cds though. I seldom buy music these days, but I had planned on buying the recent Tom Petty re-master. They did not seem to have it. Another word for Buck Owen. A-11 and Streets of Bakersfield are two of my favorite songs.
  17. I guess it depends on where you live and what is available.
  18. Check out some episodes of Touching Evil. You can find it on Youtube. Pruitt Taylor Vince was also great in that show.
  19. Outside of a greatest hits by Willie or someone else well known, I would be surprised to find most of what has been listed in this thread in a store. There use to be a record store in Pittsburgh that had an actual old country/alt.country section. It is long gone, of course.
  20. If you want to get into Buck Owens, Sundazed has all the early stuff for a pretty good price.
  21. I watch Burn Notice sometimes. I really liked Jeffrey Donovan's acting on Touching Evil, but the show did not last long. Last night, I caught some of Lennon Naked on PBS. I thought it was terrible.
  22. I guess they did not want Mal on stage.
  23. The Beatles Live at the Washington Coliseum, 1964 (by way of apple.com).
  24. This week's episode was good. I liked the blanket fort deal. Another pawn shop show - Pawn Queens (TLC).
