  1. I was trying to remember what I paid the one and only time I saw them (2003). I think it was 25 or 30 bucks. I read this interview with Neil Peart the other day where he talking about how a band use to tour to promote a record, in that records sales equaled money, but now, bands tour to make money. At least for bands at the level of popularity. I would think that is one of the reasons they have raised ticket prices. And, the cost of touring has of course increased.
  2. And Miles is robbing the dead. That can't go unpunished - at least, I would think something will come of his actions. Unless he gets off the island, diamonds are not going to do him much good anyhow. I read that the last Super Bowl beat the last episode of MASH (in terms of number of people watching). It will be interesting to see if the last episode of LOST beats those numbers.
  3. I was just listening to my Box Tops cds the other night. The dude sure could sing. Neon Rainbow Every Day As We Grow Closer
  4. Butch’s Brew (The Jambands.com Reader Interview With Butch Trucks)(3 Pages)
  5. Either way, it's fine with me. He could get Mike Myers to come on as Ron Wood. Which is funny - as Mick has often stated that he would like to re-mix the album.
  6. It's either him, or some sort of bomb (maybe).
  7. The unreasoned Elvis stuff is coming out now, and has been for a few years (I think). I wonder if Lisa gets any money from the Jackson estate?
  8. I believe it is a total deal, re-mastering, etc. I have not read anything about re-mixing, unless I have forgot, or overlooked it.
  9. Wear protective gear - Up The Irons!
  10. Either that, or someone has been very busy indexing footage for many years. When this show began, a friend of mine said that he hoped they would not spring an alien story on us (see Highlander 2). I suppose we may still end up with some sort of ancient Egypt connection. We shall know more after next week, I think.
  11. The Rolling Stones' 'Exile' Saluted By Special Jimmy Fallon Shows
  12. I sort of recall that. I am just curious to know how someone knew there was an episode of the show that would fit in with the episode of Lost they were writing.
  13. It is interesting that Richard is now running around scared, like Ben. He has always been one of my favorite characters. I have always particularly liked the scene where he comes to visit Locke as a boy. It reminded me of Taken for some reason. And this scene also: Baby Locke and the return of Richard Alpert
  14. I wonder who thought of using the episode of Little House On The Prairie? I think next week will be good. We'll get the story of the guy with eyeliner.
  15. Ok - I finally got the cd in the mail today. There is a nice booklet in there, as there is in all the releases the family has put out. I had not seen some of the photos before, particularly the one where he is playing a purplish-blue Stratocaster. I think Noel Redding talk about the overdubs in his book. I can't recall the story behind why they did such work though. There is a good bit of talk about the version of Stone Free in the booklet. I think my favorite take of that song besides the original is the version on the Fillmore East live album. The version here, recorded in the spring of
  16. He's the man, but he must be sick of that song.
  17. I would be too, if I had to sing House of The Rising Sun in sports bars every night.
  18. No - The AUD shot video on Youtube. I figure the Moogis deal is expensive.
  19. I have the re-masters that came out a few years ago. I just could never get into them all that much. I play them every once in a while.
  20. I guess that is what people usually call them. The early stuff, anyhow. The Doors were one of Iggy's major influences. At one point in the 70s, he almost joined The Doors. He actually did play a show with them. What else? The sound of metal being smashed in a machine. So, there you go.
  21. Cass Elliot & The Lovin' Spoonful - Didn't Want To Have To Do It Richie Havens - Tupelo Honey> Just Like A Woman Richie Havens - Here Comes The Sun Amazing Piano Freestyle on Chat Roulette (some swearing)
  22. I doubt Iggy is hurting for money. I think it is just a strange mix they have going on there. And what are the Stooges (or what is left of them) anyway? Metal? Punk? Death Rock? I suppose it depends on which album you are listening to at the time. I have the The Stooges, Fun House, and Raw Power, but I don't ever really listen to them. Iggy's book (I Need More) is a trip to read.
  23. I don't have that channel. They should just stream it like they do the Farm Aid show now.
  24. That HD deal is something else. Amazing clarity.
