  1. Not yet. Keep an eye on this section of Via Chicago: Greatest Lost Track of All Time
  2. There is a place devoted to Zappa torrents: Zappateers
  3. So there are two people here who know that movie. It use to be on Youtube.
  4. I only have a few Dead shows (non-commercially released shows I mean). If I want to hear a show, I generally just go to Archive.org and pick a show. I don't usually listen to music unless I am in front of the computer, so that works for me. I did grab the show with Duane Allman a while back. I prefer to listen to whole shows, instead of just tracks. 5. Sometimes, I don't get that exactly. There were year by year projects, and then someone putting up the shows again, show by show.
  6. I also know of a really good FLAC blog. The guys who runs it, puts up Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Grateful Dead shows all the time. I am not very fond of messing with Rapid Share links, but I will grab shows from there sometimes, instead of killing my ratio at Dime a Dozen.
  7. I was doing something like that with Led Zeppelin shows. I stopped myself though.
  8. Jane’s Addiction Bassist Quits Via Twitter
  9. The friend of mine from back in the day who taught be about The Kinks said the only good part about Come Dancing was Dave's brief guitar solo. I'd say I agree with that. I think Word of Mouth was the last Kinks album I ever bought (at the time of release).
  10. That's a shame they are using setlists, but I always sort of figured they were, or at least had some idea of what they were going to play at the show.
  11. There is a whole list there of characters you can use to aid you in a search. That is what I came up with a few years ago. It seems to work.
  12. Do a search this way: %Genesis%
  13. Yea, it's more rocking. Same with Give The People What They Want.
  14. I think it has to do with the fact that when I discovered Black Sabbath, no one called them metal, they were just a "heavy band" or something to that effect. I don't recall people using the word metal until the early-mid 1980s. There is a book out there somewhere, where the author lays out all of the different categories of metal. That is, power metal, hair metal, thrash metal, etc. Some people say Alice Cooper, and Led Zeppelin are also metal. I just don't see that. Again, I guess it is just how it is in my head. To me Black Sabbath were originators, but at some point in the 1980s
  15. I'd say you are right. (Thursday announcement)
  16. It would be nice if they would go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, instead of someone's private collection. But, there are probably Dylan freaks out there with deep pockets who will end up with them in the end.
  17. A bunch of junkies with money. I think Mick was not to happy about Gram hanging out with Keith all the time.
  18. Maybe they can get Jack Black to play Angel. (No!) NBC is a weird network. Dermot Mulroney to star in "Rockford" update
  19. They should get the religious right in there again, along with The Tea Party. Fun Times. Palin Says Republican Party Should Absorb the Tea Party (CBS News) Palin: GOP Would Be 'Smart' To Absorb Tea Party Principles (Fox Business) WATCH: Palin Urges GOP-Tea Party Merger, Re-Commits To Convention (Huffington Post)
  20. There must a lot of legal and political stuff to deal with - you are right.
