That is amazing. I generally try to sleep during the flight, so I sort of hate it when they bug you to offer you peanuts or whatever.
-
I have noticed this on a lot on the trips I take on Southwest now. They seem to overbook flights quite often. I never flew anywhere until in I was in the military (1984-1986), and then not again until a couple of years ago. Things have definitely changed.

I know someone who will only watch the show that way - all the episodes of the season in a row by way of DVD. I don't think I have ever watched an episode twice. That may be something I will do in the future after the show is over.

No - but I know some dudes who use to rob banks. I wonder how much the Fox Network is paying her? I bet they are going to get big numbers off of whatever she does there. The people who want her to run in the next election are nuts.

I think the deal was those were Jimi only tracks, and they wanted to make them into something more than demos, or the bass and drum tracks were lost. I can't recall exactly. I don't own Noel's or Mitch's book, so I can't look it up. I am not a fan of such things. I recall Zappa getting all sorts of backlash when he did that. I think Crying Blue Rain (also called In from the Storm at one point, and also Gypsy Blood) was a Noel Redding song (or the title was). Mr. Bad Luck (Look Over Yonder) was originally to be on Axis: Bold as Love. Look Over Yonder is on South Saturn Delta.

They should bring back the . The good old days.

List of late-night American network TV programs I think NBC needs to come up with some more hit cop or medical shows. It could be that they are trying to do that. That is a lot of people to cram into a somewhat short space of time (Leno, Conan, Fallon, and Carson Daly). I still think Jay should do a car show on the Speed Channel.
-
I read about it on another message board. Apparently, Noel and Mitch did work on some of the tracks in 1987. At least I think that is what the deal is. Now that I think about it, I believe there is some mention of the overdubbing work in Noel's book. Will State of the Union Speech Push Back Lost Premiere?

That has not happened since Midnight Lightning. Most of the stuff they are going to put out now is not all that great, unless you are a Hendrix super fan and must have it all (the unreleased stuff). It sounds like they have got their hands on some more material they did have. That is how some of those songs came to be on the box set. They were able to buy the tapes that Chandler had after he died. I didn't think there was anything coming out that I would want this year besides the supposed Jayhawks re-masters, so this is good news. You can find various versions of VON on Youtube: Valleys

I just looked at this Stub Hub deal. Would someone really pay 400 hundred dollars to see Wilco? If so, that is amazing. Of course, what it comes down to is someone making a bunch of money off of the band. That's pretty good deal they have going on there. It is like organized crime. How much does Stub Hub get when someone sells a ticket?

There might be some talk of live shows in this Replacements thread (can't recall exactly). I just did a search on Dime a Dozen and found several shows. You may also want to check these BT sites: Hunger City.org Tape City.org The Trader's Den.org Zomb Torrents.com

The last thing I read was about Axl knocking some photographers around in an airport. I believe they did play some shows in Korea and other places after that.

If you go to bt.etree.org, and do a search, you will find hundreds of GD soundboard torrents.

Trying to ID a show John Hiatt/Wilco Newport Folk Festival?
Analogman replied to silsurf's topic in After The Show
Interesting. There is no mention of it at db.etree.org. It just seems odd to me that someone would send around a cd with the tracks out of order and with another artist stuck on the same cd. It could be that it came from the cassette era, when those sort of things were more common. You have a mystery there. -
Trying to ID a show John Hiatt/Wilco Newport Folk Festival?
Analogman replied to silsurf's topic in After The Show
The Wilco shows for 1999 at db.etree.org. I don't think it is listed there, and I have never heard of it. It could be some other show. And, it could be that someone gave you a mixture of various songs from various Wilco shows. I would look at the shows where James Alley Blues was played, and go from there. Although, if it is a mix of various shows, that is not going to help you that much. I think John hosted Sessions At W. 54th Street when they did the show - if that helps you any. -
Why Doesn't Anyone Listen to the Kinks?

I bet you found a ton of threads when you did a search. Try this thread from March 2008. -
I guess those dudes never heard the Peakin' At The Beacon cd.

I have noticed that the email from Wilco HQ tends to go to my spam folder every so often. Maybe that happened to you -
