  1. I didn't see it. Can Paul still sing?
  2. It is one of the greatest albums of all time. It's what took them to super stardom. I would say I never thought they would do something like that. But it seems most every old band is now doing that sort of tour. Maybe we will see a 6 hour director's cut of Rattle and Hum. I would buy that.
  3. I think for me it is something I noticed in the Chicago documentary the other night on CNN - Robert said something about them becoming a "ballads band" and that is not what they were really all about. But that is what they became.
  4. I don't even care for Pink Floyd all that much - but that Fat Old Sun is great. I feel the same way about Mudcrutch 2. I think he wanted the other guys to have more say. That does not work. The first album is great. Not to upset you - but I could not get into the new CRB album. I didn't bother with the E.P.
  5. That song is great. It was actually recorded during the making of Goats Head Soup. Which is a terrible title - but an overlooked album. LZPG
  6. Thanks for the information. He must have done that in a lot of venues.
  7. Now the guy who runs Crowesbase is putting up board tapes of shows -
  8. Maybe not for the GD - but I think there were for other bands and sporting events. Maybe he just filmed the shows to have a record of it. Is one of those shows the show or encore where Jerry is jumping around playing his guitar?
  9. Wasn't there a system where people would pay to watch such a thing at a movie theater?
  10. I believe Bill Graham's organization filmed shows back in the day. I don't recall what the reasoning was - just to have a record of the event, close circuit viewing somewhere else, etc.
  11. Derek on WTF with Marc Maron I've never heard Derek talk - let alone talk that much.
  12. I think there is already a pinball hall of fame. Although - maybe not one for rock star machines. Now I am remembering the days of playing a KISS pinball machine.
  13. Maybe that is another hall of fame - bands that have their own video games.
  14. I don't remember that. Of course, I never played video games. That wasn't in the 80s was it?
  15. When I was a young fellow - a lot of people wore Journey shirts. I figure they made a lot of money off of merchandising.
  16. That's right. I saw that in the interview.
  17. I guess Dave (PJ drummer) is raising hell about not being invited to the ceremony.
  18. Rolling Stone online has interviews with some of the guys - Jon Anderson seems pretty funny. Which I never think of him as being funny. I hope Bill is up there on the stage. Such a fantastic drummer.
