The girls reading the news I meant to say. Another tune for you - If You Think You're Groovy (PP Arnold and The Small Faces)
-
I think people were talking about the Jack Straw in the comments. I think David mentions it also. Any other band would have cut that from the release.

It's all about the groove and Jerry's tone at the time. Grateful Dead Merchandising Commercial

It's from the title of a book by William Manus - by way of Guy Stevens. -
That's it. I have the old black and red tape box cover release.

One of those DP's I have is from the first Brent tour. I forget the number. I like my Bird Song to be as played as heard on Ladies and Gentlemen. . .The Grateful Dead.

You should get the rest of their albums. -
I was listening to the sample tracks and I noticed Bird Song (and the rest) seemed too fast. Is this the tape or were they playing that fast in 1981? I know nothing about Dead shows from that time period.

I was listening with my eyes closed. Which made me notice how the one young lady was saying the word "day". I am thinking Chicago born. Oh - if you really want to play a song most people have never heard - check out Wrong Side of The River (Mott The Hoople).

It sounds as if he is changing back to an acoustic sound:

I missed it by seconds. I take it one of those gurls reading the news is from Illinois or Chicago at least. I ain't voting for Trump. Although the majority of the state probably will be voting for him.

I don't own it. It was just a Youtube find. I may get it at some point.

Double Yoi If you guys like to watch the British shows - be sure to watch The Detectorists.

I was thinking about that the other day. It could be that film No Direction Home might have been it - with regards to him making any sort of direct remarks about his life (on film).
-
Alien Nation (1989-1990)
-
The songs on the Built To Last album.
-
A few years ago I watched all his spoken films in order. It was interesting to see how he changed over the years. That one about riding on the train in Russia is a trip.
-
I don't know any of those songs probably. I have that album on cassette - but I don't know if I ever listened to it. I must have at least once years ago.
-
He's in Used Cars (1980) among other things.
-
I think Gerrit Graham wrote those songs with Bob.
-
Fleetwood Mac in Japan 1977 Some of this is truly amazing. I don't think I knew that Lindsay played a Telecaster. (Go You Own Way for example) (2nd solo around the 3 min mark)

Looking for an old radio session recording of "Gun"
Analogman replied to a-me-with-a-you's topic in Just A Fan
Go to Wilcobase and search on the song - Then click on the show - scroll down to the bottom and see if there is a show source listed - The links to the Wilco Live Show Archive won't work anymore - but you can just go to the Wilco Live Show Archive and find the show.
