I think some of what you are looking for is in this thread. There is no sense in duplicating the work that jcroach has already done. Also - as I mentioned to you before - you may want to contact this guy.

There are also FLAC files of those tracks out there to be had.

There is also a song on the last Tom Petty solo album that rips off that groove.

Norman's site. There were, of course, other JC freaker songs during that time period.

I have always wondered why it came out on a different label than Reprise. I think Vapor Records is owned by Elliot Roberts - or ran by him anwyhow. I think it is actually distributed by Reprise - come to think of it.

A blog about Amish life.

I have owned it since it was published - early 1990s? - I think I have read it a few times.

I have never read the other book that dude wrote - The Neon Bible.

I mean - kids do what they do - but smoking meth is not a recreational enterprise - I don't think.

I think it is sad. As I was saying to The Owl - that film reminds me somewhat of what happened to the Catholic school kids who went to my high school - they went nuts with their newly found so-called freedom. I don't much care for the JC deal - but their work ethic is amazing.

I am quiet fascinated with their way of life - I don't think you would much care for how the woman are treated there. The Devil's Playground (8 parts)

I was talking to/with LB there - no one else. Also - concerning the GD thread - if the first one was not locked, there would not have been a second one. I believe the policy here is to lock threads when they hit 500 replies. I guess this has to do with some technical deal. Oddily enough - on another board I look at there is a RTT section - and they have threads there that are 500 pages long. Also - I was not busting on anyone - just remarking on the fact that with some bands - there seems to be constant debates about their worth - or lack there of - whatever the case may be. I some

Hunger City I believe they are all gone from the site. -
I don't think we are looking for that sort of thing.

SHN is like FLAC a compression tool - think of it as Winzip. Maybe you want to stop and do some reading - and then try. Sometimes, you have to just keep at it - until you get it. At least, that is how I eventually figured this stuff out. Winamp is free - don't get fooled into buying the PRO version or whatever. If you take some time to study what you find in the posted links, and then practice executing the instructions we are giving you, then you will be able to walk on the rice paper without tearing it up. More useful links - since my blog is locked up.
