Something like that. Many years ago, a friend of mine told me that some dude he knew back in the 60s ended up around her somehow and told her about the town, and she wrote that song. It could be BS - but it does fit. Although, there are other towns with that name - in a few different states. And I am sure they would have all had main streets back then where people went shopping.

Ladies of The Canyon has a connection to where I happen to be sitting right at this very moment. Or rather - some say it does, anyhow.

The book left my hands about 5 years ago - and I have not seen it since.

It not that it was set-up, but rather the music re-recorded in the studio. But - that is not secret - most live albums/film soundtracks were fixed up in the studio back then. I suppose they still are. I just don't think anything they did compares to the first two albums they made. One problem they had was - they were one silent guy and three junkies against one egomaniac - not a good mix.

I got to see Ryan Adams in a theater here where I live - had not been in there since 1987 - when it closed.
