It's really bad form to post whole shows in Mp3. Why not just copy your disc and send them to him in the mail.

I am not interested - but one can find updates about this almost every day at expecting rain.

Well - it is cool to share - but, eventually one has to learn how to do this sort of thing. Instead of asking for single tracks - get the show and do with it what you want. That is what I was taught a few years ago. This stuff takes effort - or it did for me anyhow. After a while, I figured it out.

I didn't view it close enough.

Compared to a lot of live old VH I have heard - they sounded good. At least he seemed to be singing in tune.

I don't recall. I think he said something about Chest Fever - and how only Robbie's name was on it - but Garth wrote it or some such deal.

In Levon's book, he talks about that. I think he has sued over the issue.

I am curious to why he was tasered with handcuffs on. I am not up on police procedure. The cops don't bother me now - I actually call the cops on people. When I was younger, however, I was not exactly cop friendly.

To me, that is one of the most amazing things about them - thier music was not like what they played with him, or with Dylan. There are some very good liner notes in the re-issues - I have them all.

Anything great or memorable since 197?

From what Levon, (the other savior/devil) says - all of their songs at the show were re-done - except for his drums, of course.
-
Yes, there are many many many threads on this topic. Yes, The Last Waltz was mostly re-recorded after the show in a studio. Yes, those first two albums are awesome. Yes, the rest are not so great. Yes, Robbie Robertson in the devil. Yes, Robbie Robertson is the savior.

That album actually won some sort of Sci-Fi award when it came out.

1. This involved a well known political figure - so security was most likely more jacked up. 2. In a post 9/11 and Virginia Tech world - people causing a commotion will now be dealt with more severely. 3. In a republican dominated police state, this sort of behavior is going to be squashed regardless of what is going on. 4. At least the kid did not get shot by the national guard.

There are some nice liner notes in that package.

Only two of those would actually play - when I clicked on the rest of them, I was thrown back to the front page.
