  1. Well, that's your problem, man.
  2. What's Brian's take on Jay's Inquirer type interview in Harp or Relix or whatever it was a while back? I think I may have just tossed the issue - as I jut threw away a whole stack of HARP and RELIX magazines.
  3. CHICAGO - If you're a cell phone-using, goose liver-eating, cigarette-smoking, fast food-loving person, Chicago might not be your kind of town. In this city that once winked at Prohibition, members of the City Council are trying to crack down on things they deem unhealthy, immoral or just plain annoying. A proposal that would restrict fast-food chains from cooking with artery-clogging trans fat oils got a public airing last week, and in the past year alone aldermen have banned smoking in nearly all public places and the use of cell phones while driving. In April, Chicago became the first
  4. I don't I ever heard of REM until they came here in 1989.
  5. I think that is on one of those WILCO stray tracks things I put up a while back.
  6. I own that and Tourfilm - which I bought at a indie record store - back when there was actually such a place here. REM actually played here on that tour - but I did not like them then - so I did not go.
  7. I'll get it - ever see Inside/Outside Athens GA? I'd love to have that DVD.
  8. R.E.M.'s pre-major label stint on I.R.S. Records will be anthologized on two CDs and a DVD due Sept. 12 via EMI Catalog Music Marketing. "And I Feel Fine" will be available as both a single-disc CD package and a double-disc set with a host of rarities, live cuts and previously unreleased selections. The DVD, "When the Light Is Mine," features a mix of music videos and live TV performances. As expected, the single-disc version of "And I Feel Fine" includes the finest tracks from R.E.M.'s first five years, from "So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry)" and "Radio Free Europe" to "Driver 8," "Sitting Stil

  10. http://www.answeringbell.com/ dig around on there - under Unofficial Releases.
  11. One of only three songs I care for on this album - which I paid 13.99 for.
  12. You can find them all over the web - I think there is a Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown torrent site you can sign up on - I am sure you can find them there.
  13. I have an original cassette of Chronic Town. As I have said before, there are some great songs on all of their albums - and some rather crappy ones - Shiny Happy People? Yuck! For instance - I also rather like Fables of The Reconstruction - the song Good Advices comes to mind - great chorus - but the song sounds out of synce or some such thing.
  14. I could be your arch rival ANALOGMAN.
  15. He's trying out for that Stan Lee Superhero show.

  19. I don't care much for SD, but there is or was some really funny stuff like that reagarding their R&R Hall of Fame nomination/induction on their website.
  20. Better check with Peel. I have seen all of his movies multiple times and am looking forward to this one. As I said yesterday, I see behavior on here everyday that is not much different than what is in his movies so I find it odd that people would hate him. I include myself in that equation.
  21. It's what these bands use to be until they decided they were tired of being broke and wanted to make some money.
  22. I was just talking about 45s today - my Brother Louie by Stories 45.
