I don't consider them a "tribute band", but I won't argue the point with those who do, I get it. But "tribute" or not, the chance to hear Derek and Warren together on the same stage, in front of that rhythm section, makes it all worth it to me.

Of course! Thanks.

The last two SS's, Wilco played Saturday night on Joe's Field, preceded by one opener. Mavis Staples SS1 and Syl Sylvan SS2. Everyone else played during the day at the various courtyards (AD was moved indoors SS1 for fear of rain). I don't recall how long the sets were, but Wilco played a single long set without a break. I am guessing that YLT will be playing one of the outdoor courtyards sometime during the afternoon. And that Neko Case will be playing on Joe's Field before Wilco?

I haven't done a comparison, but feels like so much more music this year (at least music that I know of) that I'm very curious to see the actual schedule. Assuming that MMW close on Joe's Field on Sunday. I can't remember, did anyone play on Joe's Field on Friday before Wilco last time? Where will YLT play on Saturday? Still much to be revealed.

I read somewhere today that the Allmans have worked up something like 7 new covers and 2 new original Gregg tunes for the Beacon run. Should be fun. Would love to make a trip down and catch a Beacon show and a Bowlive show.
-
So now the same website doesn't list a specific SS date for YLT. http://www.matadorrecords.com/yo_la_tengo/

This shows YLT as playing on Sunday. Which makes much more sense. http://www.matadorrecords.com/yo_la_tengo/

I realized that, Ojai. My point being whatever may be going on in writing/recording a new album in Chicago, he doesn't appear to have been there in person.
-
Whatever Tweedy and Wilco may be doing on a new album in the Loft, Mikael has been posting photos from CA on Instagram as recently as a few days ago.
-
I can vouch for the stage photography assignment. Those two photos hanging in my office from SS1 put a smile on my face every day.
-
I would fall off my chair at this point if Tweedy does a solo set. I would happily fall, but don't see it happening.

Yes, but as I recall the beer prices were so reasonable, like $3 or $4. The selection wasn't great for variety, but they weren't selling Budweiser at those prices. And bottled water at $1. Solid Sound is the best.

What a great lineup. Somewhat speechless about it all.
-
I missed last night's show also. Who do we think closes on Sunday? I was assuming YLT would, until knotgreen questioned that they open for Wilco.
-
White Denim. Very happy to see that. I've never seen them, but my friends who saw them open for Wilco in California raved about them.
-
We now know that Questlove is not playing
-
"P" = The Autumn Defense? That's roundabout.
-
I love it, I think it's whimsical and in good fun.
-
They announce Mikael, but don't announce The Autumn Defense? Is it possible TAD are not playing?
-
Is that a "wish", "guess", or "on good information"? Or, more along the lines of a humorous muse given that Levon closed the last one. I think that must be it!
-
"I" is for I Got You. We now know for sure Wilco is playing Friday and Saturday nights. Wonder who is closing on Sunday?
-
I am so happy to see David Hidalgo on the list

"I Might" lead into a commercial this morning on Morning Joe on MSNBC.
