  1. Wilco, right? The show where Tweedy is amazed how much weed is being smoked in the audience. "You're all high, that's why you want us to keep playing." Some hilarious banter there. A great show, I listen to it frequently.
  2. I vote for you to catch the Philly show on your way up to Portchester. Why not? I'm likely in the minority, but I'm interested to hear Mayer play this songbook with these guys. I'd like to catch a show but I hate going to Worcester-hate the drive in traffic and hate the venue (although for some reason Phish has always been great there). If they were playing Boston I would definitely go.
  3. I was reminded by several publications that today is the anniversary of the famous 10-27-79 Cape Cod Coliseum show. I was in the house for this one (and given events in the parking lot, we were very fortunate to make it inside). A very memorable day and night. Listening to the second set now at my desk. http://www.deadlistening.com/2008/09/1979-october-27-cape-cod-coliseum.html http://liveforlivemusic.com/features/must-listen-the-grateful-dead-jams-at-cape-cod-on-this-date-in-1979/
  4. Seeing them soon in the Orpheum in Boston. Will be my second time, but first in a theater like this. Looking forward to it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Just watched that. I love Courtney. Wonder how she came across in MSG last night.
  6. Thanks for the tip, I will check this out: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/126845/DVR-Rewind-Courtney-Barnett-On-CBS-Saturday-Sessions
  7. Did you get Saturday tix also? I know your Friday seats are perfect. 3 shows in 4 nights for me, I can't freakin wait. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. The Wang was will-call for all seats. Had to have kept the scalping down. Wonder why they just didn't announce both Orpheum shows at the outset. Would have reduced the mania of getting Friday tix when folks thought that was the only show.
  9. still lots of balcony and rear orch available for Orpheum
  10. I'm in for the Orpheum. I had pulled a pair in the pre-sale, Orch. L Row B. Went to the theater today to try to get better, was 3rd in line and pulled balcony, which I passed on. But I had my iPad with me and pulled a pair 3rd row center mezz., which I'm happy with. I was able to then get a second pair in the same row for friends. So standing on line for 75 minutes at the Orpheum did me no good, but I got decent seats so I'm in. roadhse, I'm curious, what rows did you get over the phone?
  11. I think what is irredeemably fucked up with Boston ticketing is that there's a very large demand. For a smallish venue. I've now given up on today's pre-sale. I had 3 different pairs come up, but none of them were to my liking so I let them all go by.
  12. Not haveing much luck with the Orpheum pre-sale. Got some high up balcony seats that I let go, and havent' been able to get anything else.
  13. Yes! But I'm not done in my quest to get into the lower orch. There's still tomorrow and Friday!
  14. Ended up getting 2 for the Orpheum, not terrible, not great. Right Orchestra Row B, seats 120 and 122, which is first row on the aisle cutting across the floor, but on other side of the ramp into the orchestra
  15. Great seats Tim, good for you. I can't get anything.
  16. Once again, can't get through to Wilco server for presale
  17. My memory is there was a period where many shows were devoid of any W(TA) sings played, to the point it was noticeable and discussed here. Then when they did the odd song once in a while, it would not show up on the Roadcase. My memory could be faulty, but that's my memory, without studying the actual setlists.
  18. If the ballot box stuffing doesn't work, she won't ask. Will be just like a question unposed.
  19. Done. In return, I'll ask for requests for Jan 29 at Orpheum for She's A Jar, my wife's favorite Wilco song.
  20. And I did it from my computer and got Right Orch Row B seats 119 and 121. No way to figure how to get the best seats.
  21. The seat selection had little to do with place in line. I was second in line, I first pulled a pair in Orch. Row E, seats 2 and 4. Those are all the way to the right. After getting those two, I asked for another pair, they would have been obstructed view. I passed. My friend 5 people behind in line pulled a pair 5th row right center. That annoyed the heck out of me.
  22. This skipping Philly thing is strange. I get that there are lots of cities in this country with Wilco fans (heck, the world), and no band can realistically cover the entire continental U.S., but they are frequently in the northeast to mid-atlantic, and to repeatedly skip a major metro area like Philly is strange. There must be a reason. Like when they weren't playing songs from W(TA), that was noticeable and strange, and turns out there was a reason. Maybe they don't like the promoter in Philly? I read somewhere that last time Pat got hit with a D battery. Ouch! Could that be the reason?
  23. Fewer than 10 people. Which was surprising to me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
