  1. So much setlist envy, but it makes me even more stoked for the show Thursday. Glad to was a good time Tuesday What time were people in getting in line around?
  2. Lincoln Hall or some secret show. It has to be.
  3. Has there been any rumors for a fifth gig?
  4. I really do wonder if they will schedule yet another Chicago show following this one. Next step would be what...Lincoln Hall? Schuba's? Anyway, good luck and congratulations to anyone who scores tickets to this show. I would try to go, but I'm a poor college student. Still content with being able to see them at The Vic, of course!
  5. I know they are played frequently/pretty often, but if anyone wants to vote up I'll Fight or via Chicago for the Milwaukee show, that'd be awesome. Both are songs my pal from Texas and I love, and she's travelling all this way to see them. If not, it's cool. We can still be pals and stuff.
  6. Anxiety kicking in. It's going to be insanely hard to get Milwaukee tickets, I think. Any word on how presale codes are distributed? I'm signed up for Pabst Theater/Riverside/Turner Hall's JAM Productions, and Wilco's mailing lists. I should have my bases covered, yeah?
  7. My first Wilco show ever, and probably the best show I've ever been too
  8. good afternoon from boston! i was at a borders book store here a few hours ago (waiting for my hotel to let me check in) and they had a bunch of SSF posters on the wall
  9. Hey! Any clue how long Wilcos set will be?
  10. it's gotta be Nels, he has to be running it. WE'VE SEEN HOW FLEXIBLE THAT GUYS NECK IS, C'MON.
  11. I adore the way this schedule was set up (in that Joe's stage isn't opened till 6). It eliminates the whole "camp out all day at one stage" problem that I was fearing . Too exciteddd!
  12. if you have twitter, you can surely follow me as i might be able to shoot a few updates in during the day twitter.com/partycheetos
  13. of course not! i needed that kind of humor to brighten up a bleak suburban afternoon. that's great though, I just wanna know when Wilco is taking the stage. I'm more than willing to wait all day to see them (only my second time seeing them, my first time going in as a huge fan though ), but my girlfriend might not be so keen on waiting many hours to see them. so excited though, my goodness. i'm downloading a ton of bootlegs from past gigs now .
  14. i've hardly posted here long, but you're now my favorite person
  15. Totally just finished Infinite Jest. I really don't get the hype for it. It was good enough, but in the end I just couldn't get all that into it, I guess. Now going to read A Tale of Two Cities, probably.
  16. kind of a random question (by a non-attendee), but can anyone tell me what the had in terms of merch at the show? i'm going to solid sound festival next week and want to know how i should budget accordingly .
  17. eep, yeah. just checked weather.com's 10 day forecast... friday: isolated thunderstorms saturday: possible scattered thunderstorms sunday: few thunderstorms possible. also, any word on set times and stuff like that? we're a week away and there are no details about this
  18. A few weeks back I emailed the solid sound festival crew asking about Wilco's set length, actually...answer wasn't too specific/helpful but here it is anyway: "Wilco will be playing a full headline set. It's our festival and we'll do what we want... ;)" prior I had mentioned that I was iffy on if I wanted to attend, due to the fact that I wouldn't want only a 16 song setlist (like we got at Lolla 08)...so I dno, maybe they mean a typical full length setlist (like they have done on tour, the 3+ hour gigs?)
  19. On the ride sharing site on the website, there are no listings for people driving from Pittsfield to North Adams/North Adams to Pittsfield (unless I misread the site) I was wondering if anyone will be making this drive, and if I might be able to get a ride there/back for a day (or more, if possible). I'm coming from Chicago and paying for this all based on a 30 hour a week/$8.25 an hour wages, so any help would be awesome. I'm willing to drop cash to pay for gas as well. Just anything to save me from the (apparent) $45 taxi ride...one way!
  20. Just saw this thread recently, so beg pardon for the (maybe) unneeded/wanted bump. Roger Waters (9/29/2006) - My first show ever! I went with my sister, and dad and sat in the lawn seats (needless to say, I'm pretty sure we were the only people not baked that were there). Hearing Roger yell "EINS, ZWEI, DREI, ALLE!" blew my mind as he opened with "In The Flesh". The Decemberists - I've seen this band 9 times now, and each time is truly memorable. The first gig of theirs that I attended was at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion where they played a free set. They had an orchestra accompany them for m
