Great show as noted by everyone. I was in second row center / stage left (saw group of familiar faces center stage right front row - will say hello next time)...Jeff was really tight and in my opinion seemed to be having a better time than the march 2011 madison show. I agree with most of the comments. Bull Black Nova was cool (my wife has never liked the electric version but loved the acoustic); gun was great as well, and passenger side. My wife took the following clandestine iphone shot. Anyone tape this?????

bump - 12th row center????? -
Site says, "Tickets go on sale to the public on July 16, and we can only imagine that they’ll get snatched up faster than the bandwidth on Wilco’s site." Thus, presale likely before then?

I saw most of my shows 87-89 and loved them...still do - favorite shows from 1989 - 2.10, 4.2, 4.3, 7.7, 7.17, 10.16, 12.27 (very underrated)... 87-90 is a great era...

I've heard that about what weir considered to be their best years and it makes sense. From 87-90 he was the rock star on stage and was able to ham it up. Jerry was still the guiding force but weir probably enjoyed these years the most - especially considering how close they came to jerry dying in 1986... As for the years earlier than 72... 64-65 beginnings and garage bandy - somewhat interesting 66 - acid band, shows fragmented and very chaotic - pig really the only stable presence in tehir shows 67 - grateful dead really gelling with more jerry presence and still heavy pig presence.

pillowy - seats 23 and 24 - is that towards center for berlin?

1976 is a great year to start with - trippy but somewhat tight. try 8.4.1976 or 6.15.1976. 9.28.1975 is a great show. The date right after Cornell 77 is a great show - 5.9.1977. typically - 72-74 is considered their peak years - jerry more on acid than heroin (so i've heard)...deep but intricate jamming from jerry - check out the Truckin' Dark Star from 7.18.1972; or the Other One from 9.17.72 or 9.28.72...many consider the best show ever to be 5.26.1972 (strand)...of course I am partial to 12.10.72 75 - jerry exands in new directions... 76 - band begins touring again - jerry on her

just got 2 second row center seats for Berlin...

Exceptional Wilco / Tweedy Performances

8.22.2007 - amazing show...I uploaded to lossless legs (after nabbing it from the Owl site) if anyone interested... 8.22.2007 at LLegs (from Owl Site) -
Looking to pull some of the shows at owl / bear. Any recommendations on spectacular / exceptional performances? So far, the following have blown me away more so than some other shows: 2004-10-30 2004-11-13 2005-04-25 2005-03-05 2005-06-28 2008-03-09 2008-05-15 2009-10-09 2009-11-11 I was a deadhead for many years (kind of like being catholic or an alcoholic - you'll always be a deadhead) and noted that while every show was special, there were some shows that were quite special or exceptional....

A quick drive from madison (3 hours) and we were at hotelvetro... Show started out well, but as noted, as jeff sang, "dreamed about killing you again..." the crowd burst into laughter. My impression was that the crowd found irony or something in jeff saying this to the crowd. Jeff asked why people laughed, someone said chicago is funny in iowa, jeff retorted, "not as funny as iowa is in chicago..." Here is my take on the mayor's daughter event - I was aisle two rows behind her... As noted, during passenger side as he sang "spill my beer," a loud bottle fell and jeff laughed. After the son
