  1. 13 rows back, dead center. Face value, of course! PM me if you're interested.
  2. Yeah, I was up front with my wife, along the railing. Thanks for the clarification on the Relatively Clean Rivers song. I thought it was Relatively Clean Waters, which then made me think it was actually a Muddy Waters song. Learn something new everyday!

  4. This gem from Watercolor was our first dance song. I have some Super8 film from the wedding cut to this song. If I can figure out how to rip it from DVD to youtube, I'll up it. Joe Pisapia of Guster is half of Watercolor. Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dance was Please Tell My Brother, but that was because we were moving to Colorado three weeks after the wedding. Good times.
  5. I didn't find anything in my copy that said there would be an mp3 download. There was a sticker on the front that mentioned downloads, but nothing specific regarding mp3's of Vagabonds.
  6. Its on the internets, but it's also leeked to your local vinyl distributor.
  7. I love it. Buy it, go to his shows.
  8. Thanks everyone! I celebrated with a buffalo burger and There Will Be Blood. Holy shit, what an amazing movie!!! Thanks again!
  9. Happy Birthday, Nels! and happy birthday to me, too
  10. Anyone able to capture the three other songs? I listened to Sunday, but I missed the other two. Thanks!
  11. I'd cast a vote for Jimmy Chamberlain from the Smashing Pumpkins. While SP may be considered a joke now, Jimmy is still a powerful drummer.
  12. I thought there was more energy tonight, although it took a few songs to find their groove. Nice to hear some different tunes, although there were a few repeats, including Spiders. Nice to hear Poor Places, Reservations, Forget the Flowers, Sunken Treasure, Theologians, Company in my Back, Late Greats, What Light, Sky Blue Sky, Red Eyed and Blue, I Got You, California Stars, and Hesitating Beauty. I think those were all the songs that weren't played last night. The show really, really took off after an absolutely cataclysmic version of Shot in the Arm. I think I've heard that song at every sho
  13. Terrific show. I haven't seen the whole gang in over 2 years, and they were fantastic. Lots of YHF tonight, including IATTBYH, Radio Cure, Pot Kettle Black, Jesus, War, ITMWLY, and HMD. The new stuff sounds great. I was thrilled to hear On and On and On; my favorite of the last three albums. Fillmore was a nice venue. Crowd seemed pretty into it from where I was. 13 minute version of Spiders was cool. I'd forgotten how good that could be live. Biggest surprise was Too Far Apart. Guys looked like they were having fun with that one. Can't wait for tomorrow night!
  14. Ugh...the Eagles? Please. This sounds nothing like the mess that is the new Eagles song.
  15. From his forthcoming work "That Lucky Old Sun." Wow. His voice hasn't sounded this clear and strong in soooo long. Check it out at his website.
  16. Their first album was a vinyl only release back in 1986. It's referred to as the "Bunkhouse" album, although it was officially titled "The Jayhawks." It was released on Bunkhouse records. Not a lot of the Olson/Louris vocal harmonies. Mark was the clear frontman at this time, and the album features a lot of twang. Lost Highway was planning a CD reissue of it 4 years or so ago, but nothing came of it. Some promo reference copies exist, as well as vinyl rips from the original release. Every once in a while the album pops up on ebay.
  17. I would love to see Mark, but he hasn't scheduled a Denver date. Hopefully he'll be through with Gary on their album tour. And thanks A-Man!
  18. Anyone know of a place where I could get mp3's of their out-of-print debut album?
  19. The part where Nels goes off is cut.
  20. So twice now I've heard Impossible Germany on KBCO in Denver, and both times it's been edited. Is there a radio edit of it floating around the US? Or is this something that KBCO cut?
