I think we can count Jeff as an Office fan. (Dwight used this line in the Traveling Salesmen episode a few months back.)

JOE STALEY! Pride of Central Michigan! Pride of the Rockford Rams! Late first-rounder hopefully ends up with New England. I predict that the Lions will trade down with Atlanta, and select Patrick Willis. Of course, if that doesn't happen we'll probably trade up and draft Ronald Regan's performance of George Gipp with the first pick in the draft.

I like it.

Heather and I are cracking up at the Vader coaster! Thanks!

Well, I saw your name on the Halberstam post and remembered that St. Louis devoured the Tigers in the World Series. I couldn't let another day pass without reposting this pic for you. It was either that or Mr. Bean in his undies. Other than that, not too much. Caught the Decemberists last night. Love it out here in Denver. How goes wedded bliss? How's Em? Keeping up on the Sopranos?

You the man... I've also been into Fables, Y the Last Man, True Story Swear To God, Morrison/Dini on Batman, Action Comics when they can be bothered to publish it, Daredevil...Brubaker is owning me right now. I'm working my way through his Gotham Central collections. Those are pretty amazing if you haven't seen them yet.

I wonder if the Left Wing Lock would get us out of Iraq?

Will do...2007 is shaping up to be quite a year of shows for bands I'm into. Hopefully Louris/Olson will hit Denver to support their album.

Where might I re-acquire this gem? PS: I know you're a DC guy, but have you read Brubaker's run on Captain America?
-
Did you see that the Red Wings moved on to the second round?

I'm glad this came up. Was the wilcoworld version different from the Engineer version?
-
I only caught Perfect Crime and Valencia. I'll have to give you a heads up next show I'm at. I think I met you waaaaaay back at Louie's in '03. You may remember the delicious Elk Goulash?

I was at the show last night as well, and I loved it. Totally blew away all expectations I had for them. I have the Soho EP from iTunes and was waaaaaaaay underwhelmed by it. They played on KBCO during the day Sunday and sounded really great, and at the show they were awesome. Great, great fun. Will definitely recommend them and see them again.

I believe that the guitarist from the touring band confirmed that they all worked together again on this album at Abbey Road. Macca did Chaos on his own, McCartney and McCartney II style. I like it. It's Paul. I expect to like it, but I don't expect Sgt. Pepper from his solo work. Sounds better than anything off of Driving Rain.

A radio show from 89 just went up on Dime. There are a few other shows there pre-96 as well, IIRC. Maybe a KCRW show from 95? Can't remember and I can't access dime at work.

You're right. CUZ is a station in Grand Rapids. Or was at one time. KBCO rarely plays Wilco. I remember being drunk two years ago and hearing Secret of the Sea at a party, but I don't ever recall hearing them again. Brett Saunders is my morning drive guy, though. Bow to the Sage.

Other than KCUZ, who plays Wilco?
-
What about Alan Keyes?
-
Depending on your opener, I might probably definitely think about being there.

Sounds like you need to go on tour with it!

Your current top 25 on iTunes (or whatever you have)
TimRoss replied to Jesusetc84's topic in Someone Else's Song
Is there a way to reset your top 25 every month? -
This is Michigan-like weather. The kind of weather I moved away from Michigan for. Also, I didn't move here for weekly blizzards, dead Broncos, Russian rockets exploding over the mountains, and whatever random crap will happen tomorrow. Bah, who am I kidding. It's great here!

Does anyone still talk to Brooklyn?

I saw your name there WATB, and I feel compelled to post...and then ask about Shiney???? -
Here's the Thax post from last year: I don't know who "xahtsalguod" is, but I want to get this off my chest. Then I can tell people to go this site and read it cause I'm sick of telling the story-I mean, nobody asks me why i don't read for Lying In States anymore, and when i decide to, I'm sure they'll be gracious enough to let me. Anyway, this is a long self-indulgent post. I've been doing these poems forbands since 1997. I knew Jeff as Sue Miller's husband, and to be honest at the time considered Wilco to be a dreadfully bland Matchbox 20 type band. Nevertheless when Jeff came up to me aft

I seem to remember him posting on here for the reasons why he would no longer be reading before Wilco. Pretty long thread, too.
