  1. We have 4 artificial trees in our house. All with lights on them. My wife couldn't handle any real trees with her allergies.
  2. That's about as close to a perfect setlist as they can get. And I got stuck with the crappy Dallas show and Dallas crowd. Dallas sucks.
  3. Yeah, I think they're pretty atrocious. The color scheme, the typeface...they're glorified softball jerseys.
  4. Good point. I'm very surprised Kanye didn't get an Album of the Year nomination, though. That album was phenomenal.
  5. I enjoyed the show. Just not as much as every other Wilco show I've been to. It wasn't solely because of the crowd necessarily, but my own perception of a lack of energy in the band, which I attribute to the disengaged nature of the crowd in general. It was a professional but by-the-books performance. But Tweedy had very little to say, seemed a little disinterested in playing to the crowd, and played a three-song encore. Those were all firsts in my experiences with Wilco shows.
  6. El Camino has been on a lot of lists. I thought I had just missed it. Then again, I have yet to really like a Black Keys album.
  7. I was equally impressed with the lights during the show. And as I said earlier, the band at least sounded great. But you could tell from the short encore combined with Tweedy's reluctant, nonexistent banter that there was no energy there to play off of.
  8. That's the thing. It made no difference to me as I preferred to stand. But destroying property at a nice venue because someone in front of you chooses to stand makes no sense to me. I don't understand humans.
  9. None of them do. This will probably be Adele's year. Is Kanye eligible? I never remember what the Grammy calendar looks like.
  10. There are a lot of albums on that list that I thought were huge disappointments (DBT, Dawes, Isbell, MMJ, Centro-Matic, Fleet Foxes, A.A. Bondy, etc.)
  11. I love seated venues for the main reason that you don't have to get there real early to get a good spot and you can sit when you want. The two seated venues I've been to before this were the Will Rogers in Fort Worth and the lecture hall in Denton. Everybody stood for those shows and they were great shows. This was the strangest crowd I've ever seen. And I have no doubt that the band felt disengaged and cut everything short. Combine this crowd with the fact that they couldn't sell the place out, and I'd be surprised if they return to Dallas. I wouldn't. As for my experience, I sat for
  12. Just an okay show. Would rank last for me on my list of Wilco shows I've been to. The band never really seemed into it. Probably because the crowd never got into it.
  13. I doubt we'll get anything that noteworthy tonight.
  14. Looking forward to this one, too. Their last two have been stellar.
  15. I like Evil Urges too. Circuital is pretty bad, though.
  16. Show starts at 8:00, right? I'm assuming that's when Nick Lowe hits the stage or is that when the doors open?
  17. I'm with you on that one. There was nothing better than when they played at Will Rogers a few years ago. I could have walked from my house if I wasn't so lazy.
  18. Don't forget the vastly overrated Tuneyards album. Terrible list.
  19. It obviously didn't mean very much. But it was one of the more satisfying regular season victories I've experienced as a fan.
  20. Disregard that last post. I was thinking of an entirely different venue for some reason. Not sure Wilco could sell out that place, though.
  21. I'll be there, but definitely not that early. The beauty of a seated venue.
  22. Pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor Aggggggggggggggggggggggggie! Goodbye.
  23. I think all postseason awards in sports are stupid, so I don't really care either way.
