I've been spending a lot of time listen to the E6 lately and could agree more. I don't see another band putting out an album that will stick with you as much as Aeroplane does. And that's not a bad thing. I feel like the E6 has lots of music to offer that isn't the NMH, however, none of it is as compelling in my opinion.

This is where I'm at. I typically also only buy used cds/lps and the occasional new cd/lp. To me it doesn't make sense that you would buy from itunes...but I guess that's just me.

I am definitely picking this up when it's released. I listen to ways of the Vaselines quite a bit.

Yeah, I paid about $2 brand new + shipping on amazon...But it's freakin' great. I can't get enough of it. I have had it my truck's cd player for about as week now.

I read an article about a month ago that said otherwise. Something about amazons inability to crack the itunes market even though it had been drm-free for a more than a year and so on. It was sad because you would think that it would do better than itunes, however...

Agreed, especially the Iron & Wine. That's the first one that popped in my head. I would add Nick Drake's Pink Moon. I love playing in art class. The kids dig it.

Wow, I mean...wtf. I lost interest like two sentences in but kept on reading anyway...Still don't have a clue what's happening though.

That's exactly how I feel. His solos stuff doesn't even touch his contributions to DBT. His solo is just lacking in appeal.

What in the world is the "story" about? I have listened to it at least once or twice a day for the past couple of days and I be darned if I can't figure it out. Maybe I really need to focus on it instead of working whilst I listen...

I have had a subscription to Blender for 3 years and I thought it was okay. They would have a decent article every now and then but overall it sucked. No Big loss on the subscription though though.

Bee Thousand is the greatest record ever

Which is what you'll have to be to enjoy the new Circus Devils album. -
I am still unsure about this one - I just can't seem to get into. It seems like one of those records that you have to spend time with and I just haven't had that kind of time to give this record the tlc that it may or may not deserve... I didn't like the Crane Wife record save a few songs, so the bar is set low.

From Jimmy's blog for those who are interested...

Dude, the drumming was always the best part to me. Jimmy is killer on the drums. Adore was lifeless without the drumming and was basically a Billy solo record. It's no fluke that his solo disc sounds exactly like Adore pt.2. No doubt that Billy plays a part but it's the combination of Billy + Jimmy that made it the Pumpkins. James and D'arcys contributuions were minimized the moment Billy and Jimmy basically recording Siamese Dream on their own. A lot of people try to validate James and D'arcys contribution, but let's be honest, they were minimal. The biggest factor in the Pumpkins de

I love the Zwan cd. It's really great. I listen to it just about as much as Gish and SD. This is sad because what made the Pumpkins wasn't Billy at all, it was Jimmy. Does anyone remember Adore or for that matter, like it? Didn't think so.

Too cool. I have my wife just about convinced we should see them on this tour. I saw them in 06 on the reunion tour and my ears were ringing for days. Unforgettable! And I got to meet Lou, my hero, in person.

The one you're talking about is Isolation Drills and it's one of the better later day GBV Albums Bee Thousand>Alien Lanes>Under the Bushes, Under the stars. That three-album run is so freaking great. It's tough to pick which is my favorite though. And who the heck cares what a Tractor Rape Chain is anyways? Dude, I agree almost 100%. Isolation Drills and Earthquake Glue are pretty even in my book though. -
Still Flyin' Saw them open for Elf Power last year. My wife and I were blown away with how freaking fun the show was!
