I like the album, but it's not their best...but that was to be expected. It's solid album and I like it much better than SBS. I need to spend more time soaking it in. I felt like I never did that with SBS.

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit - Dallas, TX 5/2/2009

The wife and I get to see Jason tonight. Woot! Edit - Greaty show. They played kidsmoke, Talking Heads, Tom Petty (american girl)and Neutral Milk Hotel (Holland, 1945). Overall, it was really great! -
My subscription dollars should be enough for the mag. I ain't sending another dime. I like my subscription okay, it was better than my blender subscription, but enough with the begging for money already!

The movie was really great. I loved it a lot and I am waiting for the next one.

Fight Songs, Satelite Rides and Too Far too Care all get heavy rotation around here. Those three albums to me are the best and some of my all-time faavorites and my wife likes them. My wife really, really, really likes the solo albums but they're not for me. I would classify the solo albums as chick rock.

An actually half-way decent Circus Devils' album. I mean decent by it not sucking completely. I am digging it sort of.

Oh man, the video was pathetic. I feel so sorry that he has sunk so low. -
I just went to the record store and they still had several copies of the Pavement LP and other RSD goodies. I picked up the MMJ 10".

FOr me, I would start with Daydream Nation, Sister or Murray Street.

Good show! My wife and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was her first Wilco show!

I have it but would love a digital copy. I have checked daily for it on the blog sites with no luck so far. SO if any one sees it out there, drop me a pm.

Pavement - Live in Germany LP Black Kids - Wizards of Ahhhs 10" Guided By Voices - Hold on Hope LP Whiskeytown 7" Iron & Wine - Live in Norfolk cd Death Cab for Cutie - The Open Door EP Ashes of An American Flag DVD I bought the new albums from Swan Lake's Crooked Fingers (great sales today) and got a whole bunch of free things. I had the MMJ record in my hand but put it back for fear of my wife killing me for spending too much money. The only things not available at my 2 local stores were the Rivers Cuomo cd/dvd and The Breeders new ep.

The latest Ryan Adams thread

Dead People Unite is pretty hilarious. The music isn't bad... -
Exactly my feeling about the OTC. I really like their albums but they don't engage on a meaningful level like NMH does. Plus some of OTC's music is just annoying, if I'm being honest. I find myself, on many occasions, having to skip tracks from bands like the Apples to the Music Tapes. Sometimes, their great creativity can generate garbage. In my opinion, Beulah comes the closest to being the best E6-related band even if they're more of an offshoot of the E6. Of Montreal's music is also pretty great, but again, they're not really a core E6 band.
