Glastonbury film on TV last Saturday
Albert Tatlock replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Someone Else's Song
I saw most of this on Saturday and was a bit disappointed (Beltman will be pleased to know tha tI was flipping channels back and forth between it and Ten - the Tehran taxi documentary). It seemed to fall between all possible stools - being neither a string of 'best performances' clips, a history of the travellers and alternative festivals, a showcase for eccentrics at the festival, or a video diary of 'how to survive the mud' etc. It was good to see Pulp at their best though. I would have enjoyed more a documentary on Eavis himself (and/or the relationship with the local community), from farme -

Thanks for the info, and welcome to VC. Probably another one for the rumoured B-sides/rarities album. Brambles - I believe so. -
You're really taking him seriously?

Well, for M. Chris that's certanly the case, as she keeps telling us

I hereby grant you all reproduction rights. -
Didn't read any reviews of this when it came out, but if I'm in front of a TV on Saturday there are bound to be some good bits.

Oh, and Muller was right. It was filmed, and also recorded according to GG. Not sure to what ends and where/when it will appear. And the new song is apparently called Brambles. Still haven't identified the "Glitter band" song. -

Keep getting errors about breaching some limit or other when trying to attach a second picture. Anyway:- A top evening started off with free beer at a colleagues leaving do. He had wanted his redundancy (with nice pay off), so it was smiles all round. I also saw some friends who had moved on last year - one of whom had lent me my first Elbow CD and is now pregnant. So there was much to talk about and much free beer to drink. I later formed part of a quartet of Englishman/Irishman/Scotsman/Welshman, so it was really hard to tear myself away from the inevitable rugby banter and free beer (Have -
Can't upload pics to hosting sites from work. If anyone is desperate to see them all I can email them to someone to upload. I'll attach the best two (made half size because of attachment space, and one at a time for similar post restrictions) now. A few words to follow (I'm trying to cadge a setlist also). This taken during Puncture Repair.

Good one. Did you ask to see her Plimsoll line? (Edit, for those who need to know what UK pants are, plimsole = sneaker in old style UK parlance. Personally in old style South Wales parlance I would say dap, as in "I was late for games today, so the teacher gave me the dap!" i.e. whacked me on the bum with a sneaker, but dap doesn't fit the joke above.) -
How many are old style tiled walls etc.?

Though whenever I say things like that to the 'sicknote' character who works opposite me, he says that it is not the virus that kills you, but the reaction of the immune system i.e. the fittest will suffer the worst. I don't know what to believe. I am not going to shussshh away my semi-tame garden robin anyway (I am not yet on French kissing terms).

M. Chris is segregating the compound as we speak.

You have my full support. You are still well out in front as this season's VC MVP, though you did drop a few points by failing to get the first spot on the grid this morning. Keep up the good work!
