  3. With things drawing to a close, time to relive my favourite Wilco show a little http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc2RZ-dk0t4
  4. If you get bored of the pics inside, have a look around outside http://www.captiveye-therocks.com/camera_ds/camera.htm
  5. Scoffing rice pudding for dinner (maybe called lunch to you) right now. Banter corner. Looks like we're in for a long one
  6. Is that like when Americans say "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less"? Top setlist so far
  7. Don't need to say that here, as it's usually already raining. My Dad always used to say in such situations "Worse things happen at sea" and coming from a family with generations in the merchant navy, that's undeniably true - especially on the Arctic Convoys.
  8. Thanks for the info. Saw the Neil Finn and Paul Kelly show on YouTube after the event and the quality of filming etc. was excellent. I think it was around for a while afterwards (?) so even if you're not up and about at that time people can catch it later I hope. Personally, I luckily have the day off and hope to time my DIY lunchbreak to coincide (11:30 here). Bit too cold for some tinnies and shrimps on the barby, but will be thinking of all you Bruces and Sheilas. G'day.
  9. Oche? - Google it :-) http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/interview/585/Wilco-Nels-Cline.utr
  10. Ditched the hat? Maybe couldn't get hold of some corks so didn't want to look out of place ...
  11. Haven't listened myself yet - bit busy at work. http://www.radionz.co.nz/radionz/programmes/nat-music/audio/2550532/wilco-jeff-tweedy-interview
  12. "Unfortunately, not enough people could drag themselves away from Paul Simon's sublime performance on the main stage to catch the six-piece Chicago band Wilco's excellent performance in the Big Top. The band's very accomplished reading of Jesus. Etc, and Handshake Drugs from A Ghost Is Born, deserved a much bigger audience." http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/entertainment/a/-/music/16446345/review-west-coast-blues-n-roots-festival-day-two/
  13. Possibly the only new snippet I took out of it:- "I just don’t think you’re ever going to play a record live, unless it’s something, I don’t know, that’s recorded live. I don’t think you can ever play it and have the impact be more profound than the experience someone has listening to a record by themselves and growing with it over a long period of time."
  14. I've wrestled with the moral dilemna and decided that only those who go should vote, so I'll keep stum.
  15. mp3 of a slightly poor quality phone line conversation here:- http://13thfloor.co.nz/2013/03/26/wilcos-jeff-tweedy-talks-to-the-13th-floor-interview/ They also provide a transcript of the interview:-
  16. The "My grandparents were not… no, I don’t know." could have been revealing ... JT almost let down his interview guard a bit too far ...
  17. Nice conversational one ... https://rhythms.com.au/wilco-interview-jeff-tweedy/
  18. After 30 secs on YouTube (Funeral Singers), these seem like something I should get more of. Any top tips where to start M.Chris? P.S.
