  2. And we already know they're not country, so we're running out of pidgeonholes here people ... http://siouxcityjournal.com/weekender/music/wilco-s-hip-alt-country-style-hits-siouxland/article_5a793e08-fcde-50a3-b159-b8d4b0fa44e2.html
  3. Yes it is. Some very honest/revealing comments from Pete. Enjoyed it.
  4. Another in the list of BBC friday night music docs:- http://www.thewho.com/news/title/quadrophenia-night Watching it on BBC iPlayer now after missing it on Friday. I think someone has already YouTubed it in chunks for all you non-UK folks "Pete Townshend leads us on a trip back to the early 1970s and the making of the rock opera Quadrophenia. Featuring Jimmy the Mod, a double schizophrenic reflecting the personalities of all four Who members, the album was fraught in the making, as Roger Daltrey and other contemporaries vividly testify. A workaholic focused with laser intensity on his vi

  10. If you've got a thing about kneecaps, and JTs kneecaps in particular, then this is for you. Probably a bit of a minority interest ...
  11. Fairly dull but here you go ... http://www.boulderweekly.com/article-8971-the-wisdom-of-wilco.html
  12. This hasn't had many views so perhaps people here haven't seen it lost in the mass of McCartney/Beatles YouTube footage. Starting up with the next version of Wings I think. Some nice moments when he meets his old school teacher and goes to a family party in Liverpool. Venues seem incredibly small for an ex-Beatle too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeN0sCwxkuQ
  13. Never could bring myself to listen to the Beatles tracks on Wings Over America much, but the fact that most of the live Wings tracks are better than the studio versions makes it one of my favourite live albums. The 'acoustic' run of tracks ending with I've Just Seen A Face (exception to the rule above) has many good sing-a-long memories. Shame Pauly can't quite pull this off anymore, but it's great and don't forget guitarist Jimmy McCullogh who sadly died too young to even make the 27 club. Of corse, Wilco have covered Something in the Air too when he was with Thunderclaps Newman. http://w
  14. Ditto about the prices unfortunately. It also struck me the other night how even the two guitarists in his 'new' band now looked old. Time flies ...
  15. It was obvious during the closing Diamond Jubilee set outside Buck House that Maccas age is really starting to take its toll on his voice, but Live and Let Die was truly spectacular with the Royal backdrop. Best bit of the night - The cameraman cutting to Prince Edward when a compere was making jokes about being a queen!
  16. Does it come with a special dispensation waiver certificate that allows it to be used to video at Wilco shows or a built in electronic bar?
