  1. I'm almost certain that it was a Fireglo (cherry sunburst in Rickenbackerese) Rickenbacker 350 (the full length version of the old stalwart Rickenbacker 325 made famous by John Lennon), & it had f-hole cutout, rather than a cat's eye one (the f-hole cut-outs usually came on British versions- at least way back when & I much prefer the cat's eye cut outs myself) & it was a 3 pick-up version (which is why I'm betting you were betting on a 370) I remember taking notice myself...seeing Wilco borders on guitar porn...tons of guitar changes, but if any band deserved to do that, it's them.
  2. And now a delicious new Roadcase flavor- Cooperstown!!! Wilco has done 29 North American Summer tour dates & 6 of this have gotten released as Roadcase downloads. I saw 9 shows total- 8 full shows & a shorter "festival" set show- 4 of the 6 Roadcase releases come from shows I saw (Brooklyn 1, Brooklyn 2, Manhattan & Cooperstown). I'm sure both sound quality & performance figure into the decision of what to release. But I can honestly say the 4 unreleased shows I saw were every bit as great as the others that got released!! Enjoy! http://wilco.kungfustore.com/category/491-roadca
  3. Please go here...this ship has already been built & is ready to sail... http://viachicago.org/topic/48136-wilco-officially-released-live-shows/
  4. I just thought since they are supposedly going to be releasing lots of these that this thread could just be a catch all for all of them- as opposed to having new threads for each release... And...the great July 28th Cooperstown show I saw just became Roadcase Show #6. Enjoy... http://wilco.kungfustore.com/category/491-roadcase/product/3789-wilco-roadcase-006-july-28-2012-cooperstown-ny-wilr06
  5. I'm assuming that Wilco has already played...it's 3:15 p.m. est Just found out that Best Coast is now playing...oh well...hope it shows up on the web...sure it was an abbreviated "festival" set, but still...
  6. Me too! For me...better sound= better show. I do have to say that outdoor shows are fun, & that Wilco has the best sound mix/sound system that I've ever heard for dealing with the outdoors...but I'd take indoors over outdoors in a second... Also...I would say that this show had the best sound of all the outdoors shows that I saw this tour...
  7. I've got 'em in a varitable rainbow assortment of all of the six options that were available...but for all of the rest of you on Team Wilco who missed the tour, or who went but found the merch stand didn't have these, or was sold out of them... Here they are, the team Wilco "W" baseball hats are now available in a veritable psychedelic rainbow assortment of colors. 6 varieties were available- crimson, blue, red & black with white "W"...green with gold "W"...& black with orange "W". http://wilco.kungfus...68-w-hat-wil600
  8. This seems to be the case with outdoor shows...be it 10:00 or 11:00, there usually seems to be a curfew about how long the music can go.
  9. Where I was in Maa-MoCA is was very good actually...but...you are right about Hartford! Of the 9 shows I saw this tour the one with the most outstanding sound, and as great a perfromance as I saw them do...was at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT!
  10. Downloading Now!!! And will be listening soon!! This is going to go a long away towards helping me with my Wilco tour withdrawls... This is also the kind of great news that may bankrupt me eventually!! Having been at what I now gleefully refer to as "The NYC residency where: 'I could spend three nights, and sixty-three songs, on a Riot 'O Rock 'n' Roll yeah, of ultimate Wilco-ness!'", I could not be more thrilled. You really need that many shows to fully understand the depth & breadth of this incredibly amazing band. I'm glad they recognized just how special those shows were. What is poten
  11. I'm posting this here, but I got it from over in the "After The Show" section in the thread for this show. Thanks & kudos go out to "SongStreamer" for originally posting it...sure it'll be up at Owl & Bear, but it's also here as a quick & easy download... http://songsfortheasking.com/?p=1736

  14. OK show #1 was last year in Detroit, MI on December 10th, 2011. I will do my best to get to any runs of more than one night within 6 hours or s
  15. If I'm remembering correctly...I read an interview with Jeff about this tour where he said that he thought that the songs from "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" just happened to fit in & work very well with, the new songs off of "The Whole Love". I kept requesting "Open Mind" for all the dates I was seeing this year...to no avail...& I've read that "Sunloathe" is the only track off of this album that they've never takcled live...although Jeff has apparently played it solo before...
  16. I don't if this helps , but... I love "A.M." the least, & "Being There" just slightly less than what follows it, but...on any given day listening to either one of those I'm enraptured by them like I'm enraptured by early Beatles (before "Rubber Soul") albums that I probably, technically, like less than later era ("Rubber Soul" & onwards)...as far "Summerteeth", "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" & "A Ghost Is Born" go...I love those albums so much, that in another week those could easily be my top three...but as of late, & it seems to be holding, I do like these latest three...but we are
  17. THANKS!! This was such a great show...as good as any of the many I saw this tour...and it was the best sound of any of the shows I saw- which bodes well for this!!
  18. Just like it says in the Topic Title...looking to buy one of these... http://wilco.kungfustore.com/products/3289-crop-circles-poster-wil475
  19. "The Whole Love" wins for me. "The Whole Love" is probably my fave Wilco album..."Wilco (The Album)" is second & "Sky Blue Sky" probably third. Love them all for different reasons at different times...
  20. Cool you got to go to the shindig! I was down front in between Nels & Jeff, but a dozen rows back (give or take)...and I got the setlist from here... http://www.setlist.fm/setlists/wilco-23d6982b.html GREAT show!!
  21. Set List from Rochester...Great show!!! Poor Places Art Of Almost I Might War On War I Am Trying to Break Your Heart Spiders (Kidsmoke) Impossible Germany Born Alone Laminated Cat (Loose Fur cover) Radio Cure Whole Love Handshake Drugs Jesus, Etc. When You Wake Up Feeling Old Box Full Of Letters Dawned On Me A Shot in the Arm Hummingbird Encore: Misunderstood Forget The Flowers The Late Greats I'm Always In Love Heavy Metal Drummer I'm the Man Who Loves You California Stars Walken Casino Queen
  22. I gotta say it's pretty odd (& not to sound paranoid, but at least a little suspect...) that they really just aren't playing anything off this one particular album...and for a protracted amount of shows...being it's my second fave of theirs, this is a minor point in an amazing east coast run of show & an embarrassment of riches in varying set lists, but a point it is, for me at least...really too bad...still amazing catalog, & amazing shows, but I do miss not hearing anything from this one... been repeatedly requesting- "Open Mind", "What Light" & from this one "Everlasting Eve
  23. Hot & even more humid...but what a brilliant show!! They did one long encore so they could pack in the maximum 27 song, 2 & 1/4 hour show before the clock stuck curfew & turned our sonic bliss back into pumpkinville- Bless their mindful hearts...some nice & rare surprises & a version of happy birthday for long time crew member "Stan"...Jeff had the whole crowd turn around & spot him in the sound area & sing to him...& he said, half-jokingly, it's why they played "When You Wake Up Feeling Old"- which was incredible!! I'll let bbop fill you in the rest later on li
  24. Mystery solved...the blue hats are more of a Mets/Royal blue & not a dark navy blue. And, for the record, I grabbed 3 (as the blue was/is my fave)...I guess the maroon & blue will be available on line sooner or later...and the red ones are not being continued, or made available online (glad I got a couple when I did)...
  25. This is probably my fave show of the tour that I've seen...and the reason was the absolutely glorious sound!! WOW!! Outdoor venues are fun & all, but this was at another level entirely!!! And a great set list & performance to boot, of course!!
