  1. I loved Meta sounds, not a big fan of A sailors guide. The concept falls flat for me.
  2. I hate it. During the Americana tour at the Irvine amphitheater Jeff called up Jackson Browne to sing California Stars. Jackson Brown was reading his verse and botching it badly. Jeff gave Jackson Browne the death stare right in front of 20,000 fans. I doubt he gets called up again.
  3. I've seen the following bands at least 10 times Wilco Dave Alvin The Paladins The Stray Cats
  4. All 15 Wilco shows I have attended, my favorite was the Whole Love tour show at the Hollywood Palladium. Best setlist of any show. Roger Watters the Wall.
  5. Wilco at the Ace theater in Los Angeles all 3 nights. ( The 3rd night was the best because the Alvin Bros. opened) Drive-by-Truckers Downtown Los Angeles.
  6. Schmilco reminds me of the way I felt when I first heard Yankee and Ghost. On first listen I was not overwhelmed, but I found myself thinking about what I was hearing until I fell in love with both records. I'm getting a similar vibe with Schmilco that was lacking with SBS, WTA, and TWL...
  7. Summerteeth Yankee AGIB Star Wars Being There Schilco ( could move up ) Sky TWL AM WTA
  8. It's become so obvious you are so oblivious to yourself.
  9. The cup comes back to its rightful owners. The Los Angeles Kings...
  10. Summerteeth YHF AGIB Being There Star Wars SBS TWL AM WTA
  11. Country disappeared Sunken Treasure Muzzle of Bees. I've seen Wilco 11 times and I have not heard it live yet.
  12. I was fortunate to attend both shows. The highlight for me was "Remember my Mountain bed" I have never seen him play that song live before. I was completely floored by the ease at which Jeff performed this very difficult and lyrically challenging song without a glitch. Add to the fact that the emotional depth at which Jeff played it I was completely blown away.
  13. I share your frustration. I had the exact same experience.
  14. Hey, Jackson Browne you may want to know the song if your going to sit in. I saw Jeff cringe, when Browne blew the 2nd verse of California Stars. Irvine was my 7th Wilco Show it was one of the best. I'm blown away every time I see them ( with the Wiltern 2012 show the only exception) Glen is without a doubt the best in the business.
  15. Grand show last nite. I was lucky enough to have pool circle seats. The sound was great where we were sitting. I thought it was a spectacular show last nite. Sunken Treasure and Ashes were awesome. I got to see all 4 LA shows thos year here is my rankings. 1. Hollywood bowl. Inspired show great setlist historic venue 2. Palladuim. Had low expectations from prior experiences at venue. Boy was I wrong. Most rockin Wilco show i have seen 3. Los Angeles Theater. Beautiful Venue. Poor seats 4. Wiltern. The Wiltern sucks bad sound. Crammed in like sardines. Tweedy in bad mood. Poor setlist
  16. The Wire. I just watched seasons 1-4 again. Alot like Wilco you have to invest time to get it. Once you do there is not a better or more real show. So many great characters, Prop Joe, Bubbs, Omar, Marlow, Snoop, Bunk, Clay Davis,Cutty, Stringer Bell, Mcnulty, Frank Sobadkis, Nick Sobadkis, The Greek, Avon Barksdale, Daniels, Rawls. I could go on and on.
