  1. I think it would be great if they played the fan choice Friday and picked their own album choice for Saturday. I've been voting for A Ghost Is Born nearly everyday, but fully understand and accept Being There as a great vote for the Friday album. AGiB is my favorite album but I'm happy just hearing Jeff pick the songs he wants and the musical ups and downs that structure a good Wilco show, so I could be happy without any of the voting.
  2. Heard More... playing as I walked past the valet entrance to the HarborCenter Marriott in Buffalo earlier this week.
  3. Here is the full interview: http://www.npr.org/2016/09/08/493086166/guitarist-nels-cline-on-lovers-an-album-25-years-in-the-making
  4. Fiancée was watching the Showtime's series "Shameless" which is set in Chicago. Early in season 3 they mention Wilco playing a show at Soldier Field then one character creates a rumor that Wilco is playing a secret show at a club so people show up to the event his sister is promoting. No music though and there may have been a reference to dad-rock. I was barely paying attention.
  5. This is why I love the album name. Regardless, I'm excited based off of "If I Ever War a Child". My fiance who largely cannot understand what I see in Wilco thoroughly enjoyed it.
  6. Fantastic news and "If I Ever Was a Child" sounds really good.
  7. Glad I'm not the only one watching Fargo, this season has been fantastic. Hopefully the full recording surfaces at some point.
  8. Record store near me had Wilco (The Album) playing the other day when I went in to pick up Star Wars.
  9. It looks like numbers 33, 34, and 35 are all Tweedy shows, just listed under Jeff Tweedy. The Buffalo recording (#035) is excellent, but I may be biased since I was at the show.
  10. I'm not in your league but thought this could be a good place to share other Wilco themed team names. I like mixing songs and players together. This year mine is She's a Carr, previous teams include Handshake Suggs and Muzzle of Brees. And I started doing fantasy baseball this year with A Yost is Bourn.
  11. SS3 had autograph sessions for some of the artists who performed, including several band members.
  12. FYI: Solid Ground only has a few spaces left for anyone looking to camp just down the road.
  13. He will post the answer next Tuesday with a new set of questions. I'll report back then as I have no clue what it could be.
  14. Ken Jenning's sends out a Trivia Challenge every Tuesday, with the seventh question always involving finding a connection between a list of things, people, places, etc. Here is today's: What unusual distinction is shared by all these musical acts? Aerosmith, Big Star, Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Genesis, Green Day, George Michael, Carrie Underwood, Kanye West, Wilco.
  15. I've heard Springsteen fans referred to as Tramps pretty often. People use it on BTX sometimes and I hear it a lot talking with other fans before shows. I like it. As for Wilco, I think the Lonely Ones is the best suggestion I've seen so far, but happy just being a Wilco fan.
  16. That was my experience at the Atlanta show. Loud mud. I wouldn't mind seeing them again under more listenable circumstances.
  17. This is probably so people don't buy pre-sale tickets then sell them for profit. I know for the Tweedy show I went to I couldn't even pick the tickets up at the venue until the day of the show and they received a list from the band of who purchased pre-sale tickets. I know some other artists that use the same policy to fight scalping.
  18. I feel the ticket fees are lower through the presale service than whoever the venue uses. At least most of the time.
  19. Fantastic news! This was such a fun show to be at. Unrelated note: venue is Town Ballroom not Town Hall

  21. Pretty sure he just covered it. There was a short video of him discussing the track, maybe on Yahoo, where he makes no mention of Tweedy, just how it was recorded "Live" in studio with his band taking solos wherever they felt.
  22. I have Cooperstown, Rochester, Reno, Solid Sound, and Austin. Reno I listen to the least, but that one and Austin are the only ones I didn't attend and that factors in a lot. Rochester is probably my favorite, but Austin is longer with so many great songs on it.
  23. The venue was fantastic. I was in the balcony after being on the far end of the rail in Columbus but had just as good of a time. And I could see Mikael and the owl in Akron! Also, I noticed a gentleman in the row before me was recording the setlist on his phone and wondered if that was one of you.
  24. I enjoy most of what the Arkells have done, including their new album High Noon. Definitely more power pop than punk
