  1. Jesus, I want to punch Mr. Dylan in the face in that picture. He looks like such a tremendous dick. Also, this thread is ridiculous. You can't tell me honestly that The Eagles, U2, Phish, the Grateful Dead, and James Taylor are worse than, say, the Insane Clown Posse.
  2. I just reread the Romo exchange. If that's your definition of 'abuse', you are pretty sensitive.
  3. Everyone asks me that same question, and I only have one answer. Exactly the same and completely different at the same time. But, failing to explain what that means, I usually just go with "Great."
  4. As long as Ty Cobb continues to have stabbed a black dude and beat up another dude in the stands who was in a wheelchair, I will continue to scoff at the character clause.
  5. They're probably a technically better live band now, but I would've loved to have seen them around this time.
  6. They played two unreleased songs when I saw them in June of 08, and only one made it onto the album. I really liked the other one, but I can't remember anything about it, except that I think it made a 50 Cent reference.
  7. There's not a chance he goes in as a Red Sock. I don't think it's his choice anyways.
  8. Got 4 GA for the Miami Beach show.
  9. Jay Z has been phoning it in since the Black Album.
  10. Despite the 26 picks, he had a 60% completion percentage, 27 TDs and 3700 yards on a team with no true #1 receiver, a bad offensive line and no real running game to speak of. And yes, a lot of the picks were bad throws. But from what I saw, he had a lot of balls that could have been caught or knocked down by his receiver that were picked because his guys sucked. He's more than good enough.
  11. I fully believe Cutler is a very good NFL quarterback. I am not a Bears fan.
  12. my wife is going to apply there for grad school in a couple of years. I'd love to live there.
  13. Was it 4 straight Cy Youngs? And like 4 of the top 10 strikeout seasons in the modern era? Yeah, no doubt. Clemens had a better career, But nobody except maybe Pedro could dominate a game like he could in my lifetime. You were better off not swinging if you were a lefty.
  14. Yep. Studying film there. Savannah's beautiful.
  15. There's almost no way, short of Lowell coming never coming back from that injury, that that is a bad trade for the mets. There's no reason for Boston to make that deal. Castillo's old, his defense has gotten worse, and they have a top 3 second baseman in baseball. 6 mil for two years is a lot to pay a utility man. I mean, I know Lowell is worthless to them, but he's better than Castillo, even coming off injury.
  16. His 2003 has to rank among the biggest fluke seasons of all time. I mean, at least Grady Anderson was playing in an even more laughably inflated offensive era, so his numbers, relative to league average, are actually not as good as Beltre's.
  17. woo! Woo! Woo! Very excited! I'll definitely be at the Miami Beach and Savannah shows. Was planning on doing savannah as an excuse to visit my sister, and there's no way I'm missing them in Miami. The question is whether I can swing the Clearwater show. It's 4 and a half hours on a Tuesday night.
  18. Wait, so Louie you actually think Obama winning the Nobel wasn't entirely misguided and premature? Come on, man. Take off those blinders.
  19. I'm not sure you fully read the actual words in my post.
  20. If they get Adrian Gonzalez, all bets are off. Dude has such legit power, it's ridiculous. The stats guy on the Marlins blog I run (but have been slacking on) did a bit of research and found that Marlins prospect Mike Stanton (the guy the Sox wanted for Manny in 08) finished second in all of baseball at all levels last season in park adjusted HR/FB% (That is, the percentage of balls he hit in the air that would have gone out playing in a home run neutral environment. It's a really good indicator of "true" home run power). Gonzalez finished first. And he'd be moving to a pretty good park for
  21. If Hermida had any trade value, the Red Sox wouldn't have gotten him for the shit they did. I think he's still got an option left, so they'd be better off stashing him in AAA.
