Because Kevan has never cheered for a player who has used steroids or a team that has had a steroid user on that team.

I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely an adult movie.

New Flaming Lips Album Now Streaming

I still don't think the songs on this album are nearly as good as anything on Soft Bulletin or Yoshimi. It's nice that they are energized, and I'm sure the live show will be insane, but I have a hard time calling this album anything more than interesting... -
They seem to drink whatever the venue provides them. When I saw them at Bonnaroo, Craig was complaining that it's hard to feel manly when you're throwing back an aluminum bottle.
-
Man, I saw them at Bonnaroo in 07 before I knew anything except Boys And Girls, and "How A Resurrection" was incredible. Also, Lodestar. He acts like that all of the time. It had nothing to do with the frat boys. Don't fault him for connecting with whatever his audience happens to be.
-
I don't think anyone can question Craig's sincerity. Some guys who are nervous, awkward frontmen do the Conor Oberst thing and stare at the floor. Some just go all out and lose themselves in the show. I prefer the latter, and I think that's precisely what Craig does.

New Flaming Lips Album Now Streaming

Hey, essox. How's it going? What is this, your 15th screen name? -
This all day. I think each of their albums is a 9.0 at least. I want to scribble their lyrics on the margin of my notebook like a 14 year old female high school freshman.
-
20-26 is pretty great though. I'm not drawing any conclusions about his future, just saying that he looked fantastic last night, and made some really impressive passes on the run. And more importantly, didn't make any mistakes.
-
We can't stop the pass even a little bit. Maybe if we get a more consistent pass rush we could do something about that. I want more roided up ex CFL-er Cameron Wake in my life. This is a fun team to watch, that's for sure. And Henne looked absolutely legit last night. If he is, then the Dolphins are going to be really, really good for the next decade. Just draft a WR this year in the first round and go.

I'm going to say it's on the members of the crowd to police themselves, not the band leader. But that's just me. Or, rather. I'd say let the show go on, rather than having to deal with what inevitably has to become an awkward situation when the band leader yells at the crowd.
-
I see both of these things as positives.

Shut up with your fact based "stats" that don't match up to perception!

I didn't get that out of your post before. I truly didn't understand what you meant when you said it was like a slap in the face. That's why I felt like it was judgmental. It makes a little more sense, but frankly, I still think it's a pretty crappy way to react to the whole situation. Last show I went to was the Decemberists up in St. Augustine. Haven't had much money to catch any of the limited shows I've wanted to see recently.
-
The flask thing still makes no sense to me. I think he acted like a dick somewhat with the video, but I understand that. The flask thing doesn't make sense to me at all. Just makes him seem judgmental as hell.
-
This is a much different point than "It's his party." It doesn't sound like Jeff was worried about the children in the crowd when he was talking to her. It sounds like he was just looking to insult her.
-
I agree with the 2nd part. The first part, I don't know. If you pay for a ticket to a show, you have the right, within reason, to act as you please. Drinking at a show isn't something that should draw the ire of the people on stage in a vacccum. If she was being loud and belligerent and causing a scene, yeah, call her out. In my opinion, he acted like a dick. I mean, come on. He took her phone away. Also, I guess I'm in the minority in believing this, but it is entirely possible to record parts of a show, have fun, and remember the show. I don't see why holding a phone for 3 minutes means
-
From what I understand about Wilco, 10-12 years ago this wouldn't have been a problem. It seems rather unfair of Jeff to hold everyone to his standards. Some people get drunk at shows. People in Wilco used to get drunk at shows. It's great that he's gotten past that, but bringing the entire show to a halt because a girl took a swig from a flask is pretty goddamned silly. And not to mention that he comes off like a real dick in the way he acted towards her.
-
Yeah, I don't really understand why that would make him say what he did. Sounds pretty judgmental to me.

Great interview, thanks for sharing.

I think we should fight some more about it. I'm bored. -

I mean, ok. But you can't tell me he didn't take what ikol said to it's absolute most illogical extreme. Ikol was doing what he normally does, which is trying to be clever and not take this shit so seriously. I think he generally does a good job of that, and I don't think what he said was especially insulting, and I think LouieB responded in a way that was very similar to the illogical extremes that guys like Beck use. I think it is unfair of him to respond how he did to ikol. If you think that's incorrect, that's cool. But I have a problem with Louie's implication that Ikol wants all blac -

This is Glenn Beck-esque stuff, I'm sorry. Louie took ikol's posts completely differently than I think anyone else did or even could have. I don't think he was saying "LouieB should die". He was saying one of the biggest problems facing our government is that there are about to be a ton of people reaching retirement age that simply cannot be supported by the system as it exists now. Louie took that and started saying a bunch of crazy stuff.
