  1. If that Louie guy had a TV show it would be at least as entertaining as Glenn Beck, and for all of the same reasons Glenn Beck is entertaining. Because he's crazy!
  2. I'm just happy Chevy Chase is back to being funny.
  3. I laughed. Last night's episode was really good. But, am I the only person who really enjoys the absurdity of Community?
  4. I heard both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity in recent days say that a reason why the health care bill is a bad thing is because it would destroy Medicare.
  5. So here's something I'm noticing a lot when I happen to listen to a Hannity or a Limbaugh on the radio: I've heard numerous times from numerous people about how this new health care plan will "Destroy medicare". I find this fear on their parts to be completely fucking ridiculous since they've all seemingly spent the length of their careers trying to destroy medicare and now they are all worried about it.
  6. Also: Maybe it's like the year Dustin Pedroia won the AL MVP and there were just no other really good candidates so they gave it to the plucky (half)white guy who over came adversity (Obama, being a black dude in America; Pedroia, being 16 inches tall).
  7. Yo, Obama, I'm really happy for you and I'm let you finish, but Al Gore had one of the most controversial Nobel Peace Prize wins of all time. OF ALL TIME.
  8. I hope my teachers give me all A's this semester to encourage me to do my work.
  9. I think SBS is probably their weakest album, but those are probably three of my favorite songs.
  10. I live in a city with a metropolitan population density of 5.4 million (the 7th largest population center in the country) and Wilco hasn't been here for a non-festival show since 2005. No offense, but do you really think it is feasible for Wilco to play anywhere in BC but Vancouver? It's not like there's gigantic population centers dotted around the province, and it's pretty spread out. I'm not sure why they should feel ashamed of themselves.
  11. SASKATOOOOOOOOOOON Also, I like when a band announces a show in someone's town/area/within driving distance and they bitch because it isn't the optimal set up for that person.
  12. I really wonder whether they just dislike Florida. The last time they came to SoFla for a non festival, Jeff chided the crowd pretty good.
  13. Sounds like there's some legitimacy to this, too. Marlins are upset they didn't make the playoffs and haven't extended any coaches. I also think Fredi Gonzalez has to be looking at the vacant Braves job in 2 years, as he was a long time assistant with them and still lives there. Marlins might be looking to make sure they don't get left out in the cold.
  14. You guys are just lucky you don't live in Miami when the Hurricanes are winning. It's fucking unbearable.
  15. I'm a fan of Cliff Lee's 6.13 ERA after his first five starts in Philly. I'm hoping they get swept.
  16. NYC + Playoffs + best record + 19 wins + not shitting himself under the weight of that contract + being completely and utterly dominant in the 2nd half despite playing in a launching pad + nobody in the world knowing just how absurdly good Felix is + CY Young voters being dummies = probably CC is gonna be 2nd.
  17. Yeah, that was pretty awesome.
  18. Picks: AL East New York Boston Tampa Bay Orioles Toronto AL Central Cleveland Minnesota Detroit Chicago Kansas City AL West Los Angeles Oakland Texas Seattle AL MVP: Grady Sizemore, Cleveland (had the worst season of his career and got hurt. Good call.) AL Cy Young: CC Sabathia, New York (If it wasn't for Greinke, I think this would be spot on. He'll finish 2nd.) AL Rookie of the Year: Travis Snider, Toronto (His .337/.431/.663 line at AAA would've made him an MVP candidate. Swing and a miss!) NL East Philadelphia New York Florida Atlanta Washington NL Central Chicago St. L
  19. Not everyone is Kurt Warner. Specifically, Tony Romo is not Kurt Warner. He moves around a lot more than Warner. That puts him at a disadvantage for longevity. I feel like I'm hating on Romo a lot more than I want. I like watching him, and I think he's good.
  20. He's 29, though. That's the problem, in my opinion.
  21. I haven't said anything that you are replying to. I haven't said anything about Jessica Simpson, get off that. Are you reading anything I'm saying? Enough with the strawman arguments. Yeah, he's better than Pennington. What the hell that has to do with anything, I have no clue. He's a pretty good, not great NFL quarterback. He's also 29 and somewhat careless with the ball, limiting his ceiling. You want to blame the messed up snap on a wet ball, fine. But don't forget to ignore his 32 fumbles over 39 career starts. Is he better than Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers
  22. Harrison wasn't much before Manning. Wasn't anything before he turned 27, then the light clicked for Peyton and he took Marvin on the ride with him. It's not like the Dallas offense was nothing before him. Bledsoe had a pretty good year in 05 and Romo had the benefit of passing to some really really good players. I would say Peyton brought those players and that team along with him, Romo was kind of brought along for the ride. Yeah, Romo's a good QB, but I just have a problem with comparing the two of them. The real thing to think about is where Romo stands amongst NFL QB's. Top 10? Pr
