See, now is one of those rare times when I don't feel bad about being a John Mayer apologist, since you are being a bit off the wall. The John Mayer Trio's Try is the closest he's come to a straight up blues record. They are in the studio working on a new album that will probably be more bluesy. Did Prince ever make any straight up blues records? He's a great guitarist who made pop music for the better part of a decade.

I wouldn't mind Sound Advice, but it's probably a bit too small of a venue, and if you can't get seats you've got no view of the show. I'm not a huge fan of the sound at Office Depot. I think AAA has better sound, though it's a much bigger pain in the ass to get there. And there's no way they play Dolphins Stadium. I don't think there's been any concerts there since McCartney in like 93.

I'm guessing they'll play American Airlines Arena down here.

There is a Marlins Minor Leaguer named Rick Vanden Hurk whose teammates have begun calling "The Dutch Destroyer". That might be the best nickname ever, and I hope he makes the majors this year so I can see him.

Man, I love this album. I can't wait to hear what kind of effect he and Jack White had on each other as they each work on new albums. The results should be amazing.

I'm not a fan of Kaki King. It's impressive, sure, but I'm not a huge fan. I like Frusciante and Cline getting love. 2 amazing guitarists.
