  1. Hottest collection of women on television anywhere. Rachel will be missed.
  2. Michigan fan on November 26th: We deserve to be in the national title game! Michigan fan on January 1st: ::Slowly backs out of the room::
  3. I was snowboarding in Salt Lake City. I'm basically a gigantic walking bruise.
  4. I think it just may be the first Bond movie that succeeds on it's own merits, and not on the merits of the franchise. It's the first legitimately good Bond movie.
  5. Although one could argue that Thornton was the only one who truly deserved it.
  6. YHF Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Abbey Road Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Like 1975-1985
  7. Too say that the Sox aren't on par with the Yankees is completely inacurate. Just because they don't spend 200 million a year (on bad contracts) doesn't mean they don't way overpay for almost every free agent they get (Man-Ram, anyone?). Sure, it's nice as a fan, and I don't knock them for doing it, because I truly believe every team should spend as much as they feasibly can, but when Red Sox fans complain about the Yankees spending money, it's the ultimate example of a Pot calling a kettle black.
  8. If you add the 15 mil they are looking to pay for JD Drew, plus the probably 10 mil. for Matzusaka , plus the posting fee, they'll spend more money than the Yankees next year. I just hope we don't have to hear about the "Evil Empire" anymore from the idiotic Red Sox fans who have always somehow thought they should be the underdog when they outspend 30 teams. It's always annoyed me because the Red Sox are just as bad as the Yankees, and have been for years.
  9. That was almost my point. I mean, really can one of you Red Sox fans explain to me how the Red Sox management justified that whole mess about "not being able to compete" with the Yankees after the Abreu move?
  10. I thought David Garrard looked great, and I've never liked Byron Leftwich, so I don't think there's any question on who should be the Jags qb. I think the team looks more confident with Garrard in there.
  11. It's kind of sad to think that teams like the Red Sox can't compete with the Yankees. I mean, they've only been able to offer JD Drew 2 years, 30 million dollars. These guys can't possibly compete!
  12. It's selling on the strength of "When You Were Young" which is an absolutely huge hit. Plus it doesn't hurt that Tim Burton directed the video for "Bones". I do agree they take themselves a bit too seriously, but this track seems a little more relaxed. Thats always been my criticism of MCR too, though. They are way too into themselves.
  13. Really? Thats the best part of it, I think. It seems intentionally overblown, so when you look at it that way, it makes sense.
  14. Haven't heard it, but I'll look. I think the best songs are "bones" (Which I think is the best, by far), "Sams Town", and the first single.
  15. I think there are 3 really good songs and the rest are basically mediocre. It doesn't suck, but it's not great.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/toy This is how you figure the percentages. Using that, Miguel Cabrera has a 26 percent chance for 500 homers, Dontrelle Willis has a 10% chance of 300 wins, Albert Pujols has a 97% chance to reach 500 homers, and a 26% chance at 756. Andruw Jones should finish his career with 620 homers and has a 97% chance for 500. Since 2003, Arod's chances of hitting 600 have stayed the same, but his projected career totals are down from 744 to 670.
  17. There are some melodies that I can recognize but can't pinpoint where they are from. I've listened to it once or twice and I'm surprised at the fact that there are no truly terrible songs on it, and there are about 5-7 songs that I honestly enjoy, and the rest is good enough. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not the overblown mess I anticipated. I'm not sure I hear the Bon Jovi in it, but there's one song that really reminded me of Green Day, and there was a melody in their that was very Beatle-esque. In theme, it almost reminds me of The Wall.
  18. I'm actually shocked at how good this album is. It may sneak into my top 10 of the year, which is really saying something, as I've never liked anything they've done before. I'm really in shock at how much I like it.
  19. I read it on MLBTradeRumors.com. It's based on a stat that Bill James uses, but I don't know where to actually find it. 29% is higher than most of the ones I've read from James. I think I remember him saying Jeter has a 10% chance in his book, I think. I could be wrong though.
  20. This market is absolutely ridiculous. Nomar making 9 mil a year, Drew is reportedly close to signing a 2 year, 30 Million deal with the Red Sox. Although this stat shocked me: Did you know that according to Bill James, Pierre has a 29% chance at reaching 3,000 hits? I guess leading off and simply putting the ball in play 700 times a year might be enough to get this guy in the hall of fame...
  21. Yep, and he can still hit so I'd say it's a good move by the Mets. If they hadn't called Milledge up last year, this would be an even better move, as he still needs time in the minors, but his arbitration years have already started.
