I think you're being kind just calling those three losers. They have all actively been assholes, IMHO. I still remember GWB condescendingly referring to "the angry left." I wanted to scream in his face, We're angry because our country is killing hundreds of thousands of innocent women and children in a war based on false intelligence, you moron! Trump is just a smug bastard who truly believes that any press is good press. He would be funny if he didn't push his political views so hard into the public eye. (Whenever he does that, I wonder: where are all the people on the far right criticizi

Wow. Unlike a lot of people, I feel like I'm getting more tolerant and less judgmental as I get older. In spite of all the positive aspects of that review, I have to say that overall it was pretty negative and judgmental ... I guess I have to try to remember that reviewers aren't always as excited to see Wilco as I am! -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCwlEnuXYsE The footage added to this makes it almost too personal to watch, but ... wow. What a talent.

Do they actually play songs we request?

Wilco by the Numbers: May 2012 Southeast Tour

Oh, man, that was one of the coolest Shot In The Arms ever. The crowd was on fire just as much as the band. -
I have heard multiple times the figure that MA ranked 47th in the nation in job creation during Romney's term, so there is that...

Wilco by the Numbers: May 2012 Southeast Tour
Mr. Heartbreak replied to Jimmy Coulas's topic in After The Show
Awesome. Love it when people do something like this. A little bummed that the shows I saw seem to have been among the shortest, but at least I got to catch the only version of Summerteeth they played on this tour! -
My favorite version of I Threw It All Away remains Jeff Tweedy's solo acoustic version from 1999. That should be released as a single.

I will have to check out Okemah for sure. I think I tried listening to it at the store when it came out, and was just not in the right mood for it. But I sort of have to be in a certain frame of mind to listen to Jay in the first place, so I really should give some of these later releases a chance. Thank you both for the input.

Nice review, but I laughed out loud when I got to this: -
Heck yeah. Surprised by the setlist. Wonder if they thought they were done and were told they had more time!

Misunderstood, Poor Places & Art of Almost to open...far out. Cool seeing these songs this week and then again tonight...

So I take it Wilco will be playing on a different stage? If not, they will have to open with Art of Almost in order to retain some of that crowd.

So I've got nothing from Afterglow 61 through The Search. Any recommendations? (Disclaimer: I believe I was underwhelmed by American Central Dust, because I apparently bought it from Amazon but don't remember listening to it. Heh.)

Actually, the overwhelming majority of tax payers do NOT take advantage of the tax laws. I know this, because I work part time for a tax service. We try to get people to work for us by having them lower their FICA contribution, take the extra money home in their paycheck, and write off meals, mileage and entertainment expenses (while they go to all the places they normally go already) and place business cards for our service. Most don't want to do it...not because they don't want to put out business cards, but because they don't want to change their W-2. They are afraid that somehow the IRS wi

Hmmm. I was in the 6th row in Tampa, and although the sound was certainly good, it was even better for me last night way up in section 201 or whatever it was. Weird. -

The opening act, Purling Hiss, sounded much, much better in Tampa. I am guessing that they had their own sound man, and he just couldn't adjust them to the outdoor venue. I don't know. But in Tampa, they were very good. My second-favorite opener for Wilco, after Nick Lowe. I think the problem during A Shot In The Arm was a big power surge, because it seemed like just about everything in the place - except for the drums, of course, which do not rely on electricity - went out for a few seconds. It was a bizarre situation. By that point, the crowd was really pumped up, so about the only thing t -

Pretty reverent review from the local Tampa Bay Times. Extra points for usage of the phrase "from the ashes of alt-country icons Uncle Tupelo." Heh. http://www.tampabay....s-wilco/1230147 >Robby, they did do I'm Always In Love at Jannus Landing in 1999. That was my first Wilco show, and it rocked! I was hooked from then on. Back then, it was like a secret knowing about them. -
Holy crap, had no idea that was a GA show. Sorry we did not get to meet up in Tampa, suites. We are counting on you for a full report from Miami!

Wow, you guys are fast! Fantastic show. I am a little too wiped out to add much for now, but I will clarify the banter a bit. "Thanks for the positive feedback" & "You guys are very capable!" ... These were both (I think) related to the same person in the first or second row who Jeff teased a few times about their comments. First he said, "Thanks for the positive feedback," and then I think he said something about the guy (or girl) saying, "You guys are fantastic." Then later he said something along the lines of, "That's not the kind of compliment we like. That's like saying, 'You guys
