I know what you mean, actually - it is charming in a way. Maybe I just don't like the use of the word.

Did you see the retrospective of that event on SportsCenter the other night? What a clusterfuck.

If you've never seen Dylan, there's really no good reason not to see him.

It was nice to hear them both nail "misconstrued" - that moment on the record irks me.

Absofuckinglutely. Not saying it's the same thing, but imagine the Super Bowl winner decided by the opening coin toss. It's about as stupid as that.

BTW I blame the comedy of Andy Samberg for that interminably long and unfunny Taco Bell ad.

Or maybe he forgot ...that ...THIS ... ONE ...COUNTS!

I think when scrolling down a list of song titles posted from a setlist (of a show you didn't attend), it's easier to complain about familiar titles. When I'm at a Wilco show, I pretty much never have the thought "I'd rather be hearing (song title) right now." They play the songs they play because they sound GREAT live.

I thought he left because part of his brain exploded.

I gotta see that again too - been about as long. Good piece here positing it as the best 'Boston' movie ever: http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2009/05/17/the_lens_of_eddie_coyle/

'Melody' ≠ 'Tasty Lick' Unless, there's a George Harrison song that You Never Know got its melody from? A hundred times yes, except Dark Neon should actually replace The Song in my opinion.

Coooool.

I think they would. Speed Racer - you took my comment as flippant. But I was being serious - I don't think it's any less impressive to create great hip-hop than it is to create great rock or soul music. But PopTodd hit the nail on the head - you wouldn't call The Temptations one of the greatest bands ever. There's just something about the word band that implies geetars and booze and shit. Why don't we rename this thread "All Time Best Popular Music Acts From The United States" and be done with it.

Something about guitars and drums and hours and years of practicing and gigging to get that alchemy.

As long as we're guessing, I'ma go with Ryan Howard.

Well in the case of the Federation battle droids, they were all rendered impotent by lil Anakin's destruction of the remote base that controlled them. To me, that was the impetus behind the clone army and the eventual stormtroopers - they were self reliant. Not that that speaks to why droids like C-3PO in Eps 4-6 are slow and suspiciously move like humans inside robot outfits...

Annoying like a fox. Traffic traffic traffic.

Plus, they got She's A Jar wrong: "Key lyric: “She says forever, to light a fuse, we could use a day off, and a handful of wheel, however you might feel, tonight is real.” How could they leave out "and a bruised road" - one of Tweedy's single best lines ever.
