  1. No, it would be like saying "I heard it on WXRT when I was driving to Arby's (I was speeding, but I was really hungry and don't plan on speeding again)..."
  2. ^Me too. Great, great line.
  3. I don't think his role in Tapeheads counts enough to call him a lead singer.
  4. Understandable. Sometimes it's just sorta "there" to me.
  5. I've always liked this one (probably because I still don't see it used anywhere): http://www.dafont.com/turkey-sandwich.font
  6. I do like the title and it does inform my enjoyment of the song. I think Tweedy's current issue with the title is the realization for him that people are going to be asking him about Jane Smiley in just about every interview for the next year-plus. But he had to have foreseen that, and is probably looking forward, beyond the initial coverage of the album/song/song title, to the point in the future where the "dust" has settled and it's just a great title for a great song.
  7. I just tried to change my screenname to Jane Smiley's Boyfriend but apostrophes are not allowed. Damn.
  8. There is - it's called art. You really are overthinking it.
  9. Well to be fair, it's a little different when you hear criticism from George Martin regarding the Beatles. He's about the only person I could accept it from, personally!
  10. I really like Helvetica because it doesn't try to tell me to feel a certain way.
  11. You're going to have some trouble here if you need threads to be 100% on topic all the time.
  12. Ha! (I didn't want to say it myself)
  13. Still, what does this mean?: EDIT: Nevermind, I reread and see she's a lefty and you're a righty. Got it.
  14. To me, the opening of Standing O is nearly identical to Tin Machine's Under The God. Just sayin'. This album is really good, though.
  15. I heard this morning about firefighters fighting fires while knowing their very own homes were burning down at the time. Devastating.
