  1. Nice to read that the show's quality is up. I randomly caught an episode of the new season recently and thought it seemed really good. And it wasn't just because shark fin DNA wasn't mentioned.
  2. This morning NPR played a pregame street interview with a Celtics fan who, while being a typically super-obnoxious Boston fan, called his shit tight, saying the game would be 12 guys against one, and that defensive rebounds were key for the Green. And that "the Lakers' purple and yellow make me wanna puke, they're like vomit."
  3. Mark Jackson is so eerily obsessed with Kobe that during a replay of a foul call during a Laker possession he said "and Kobe Bryant..." and just left it hanging there. Kobe was not involved in the play.
  4. Before Game 4: Hell no. After Game 4: Hells yes.
  5. Congrats to Boston's Daniel Nava, the 4th player in MLB history to smack a grand slam in his first at-bat. And on the first pitch, too!
  6. How do you spell momentum shift? C-E-L-T-I-C-S B-E-N-C-H
  7. Well, the Let The Right One In redo is directed by the dude who directed Cloverfield and stars Richard Jenkins, so I'm in.You just never know with these things. The American version of The Office sounded like the worst idea ever when it was announced.
  8. Am I the only one here watching? Last night was a great game overall.
  9. He would've been a better president.
  10. This all reminds me of this interview from Fresh Air: http://www.npr.org/t...oryId=102887815 Great listen if you haven't heard it. Particularly:
  11. It's an incredibly unfortunate situation for all involved.
  12. Even so, it says to me that he was flooded with conflicting emotions at that moment. "I just umped a perfect ga--no I didn't!"
  13. Maybe in a tired haze I dreamed seeing this, but the two times I watched the play on the local news last night, it looked like Joyce went for the OUT! gesture for a split second before calling the player safe. Anyone see that?
  14. Ding Ding Ding. Voodoo, particularly.
  15. Wow, they'll be playing in Boston the very day I'm moving from Boston.
  16. Not at all (and since when do you apologize for sounding like a twat! ) - I actually wondered as I was reading what I'd think of it if I was more familiar with his stuff (past say, The Dark Half, chronologically).
  17. Last night: The Informant! I liked it.
  18. ^^I guess my enjoyment of Cell was certainly helped by my super-limited history of reading King. Now reading: Chuck Klosterman's IV and Tolkein's The Hobbit.
  19. Spoon (maybe, though there's still a big chance I couldn't do it)
