  1. Ah yes! You're right. Now I don't have to watch it again....I think I could watch it again for all the right reasons. Plus, my Apple TV has subtitles.
  2. I only remember The Yellow King sitting on a lawnmower. Hmm. Yes, the best part of season 1. She was great and cast well as Carla Gugino's daughter in San Andreas.
  3. U2 in Boston. 3rd night! Tomorrow night will be the 4th night & my 4th of this tour.
  4. I wouldn't call Carcosa or The Yellow King "high society" but I understand what you mean. I guess the first season showed the lower class and this is more along the lines of people in power running a city through vices.
  5. Well, it's certainly possible that Semyon's wife, Jordan, was raped as well and she put her baby up for adoption, while Velcoro's wife, Alicia, had an abortion and kept a lifelong lie to him. Maybe Frank is behind it? Perhaps it happened before Jordan even met Frank? Sounds very soap opera-ish, but neither Velcoro or his wife have the red hair. And maybe deep down Velcoro knows that it isn't really his, but he needs that in his life to ground him. I need to rewatch the scene where Vaughn explains why they're doing the in vitro pregnancy and his wife mentioning something cryptic like maybe s
  6. I saw Love & Mercy a few weeks before Solid Sound and I loved it, however I had too many things going on to come on here to recommend it. I'm glad that people are seeing it. John Cusack was awesome, but I think that Paul Dano was better. And this is coming from a huge Cusack fan. I love their music, but I didn't read up on the band origins or Brian Wilson, so it was all fresh to me. Well, I had heard about Wilson in the 80s. I'm in love with the 2nd season of True Detective. It's the first show since Lost that I'm watching in real time and actually going back to rewatch the episode and
  7. Sadly, I only found about this FB group last week, but it might be helpful for people in NYC looking for tickets. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1503204553294410/1616620275286170/?comment_id=1616643331950531&notif_t=like
  8. Thanks for responding. Yeah, like I said I had no issue back in January either. Weird! I even tried to do my online banking and that didn't give me the same error message. Oh well….
  9. Here's the response from Kung Fu regarding my trouble trying to "establish a secure connection". I must be crazy, but I had no issue on January 1st of this year when I bought several of the Chicago Winterlude shows. Is anyone else having issues with Safari & Kung Fu? I'd hate to download one of these web browsers for just one site, but I'm going to have to to get my downloads. "Our site is not supported by Safari (or Internet Explorer). It works best in Firefox or Google Chrome. Next, our downloads to not work on phones or tablets since they often do not have unzipping software. My sugg
  10. Thanks! I'll be there tomorrow too! Have fun!
  11. Update: I was able to purchase the bundle via my iPhone, but I can't access the download links that are in my email. I can't even login to My Account on the Kung Fu Store without the error message "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server". I tried changing it from https: to http: and nothing. I updated my computer and reset my Safari and nothing. I'm able to see My Account on my iPhone, but it's not worth it since an iPhone can't unzip files. I sent them an email and we'll see what happens.
  12. Yes! This just happened to me. I bought several of the Chicago Winterlude shows last year and I never ran into any problems. I'll keep trying keep smiling knowing that you can always count on me. For sure….
  13. Dawned On Me was featured for a solid 30 seconds in Andrew Niccol's Good Kill with Ethan Hawke. Great film! I also was looking for a few short comedy series to watch this summer, so I looked at trailers for FX's You're The Worst & Married. Married's trailer had an instrumental loop of I Might. It was similar to the instrumentals used in Every Other Summer.
  14. I stood near the bridge closer to Courtyard D where they were setting up Harmonium Mountain. I had barely anyone in front of me except for the occasional conversation barely echoing from the nearby "cafe/bar" at Euclid Records. Yes, Wilco seemed a bit far away, but gone were all of the conversations that you could have by being right in the middle of everything. And the sound was still AMAZING!!! I tried being close to the stage in 2013 (I was near the stands closest to the canal where they had monitors of the show being filmed for Every Other Summer) and parents were doing this & that wit
  15. Here you go! No problem! When I saw your tweet, I thought that I had blacked out for a second. You're famous! Show the kids that. Yeah, I gave myself a chance to dry myself during Heavy Metal Drummer. Something I've heard at every show…I think so...
  16. There have been ticket drops typically the day before the show around noon time. I'd recommend paying attention to the atU2 Twitter page, since they've posted every single ticket drop as it happens. http://www.u2interference.com/forums/f314/ticket-drops-thread-218208-30.html Here's a link for ticket drops over at Interference. I was thinking about writing about this tour a few times and maybe I'll wait until after the last NYC show. I still have yet to see them this tour. I get to see them in Boston next week at all 4 shows. Slightly disappointed at the lack of setlist diversity, but th
  17. Hey! Your live tweets of the Wilco set list Sat night were filling up the screen near the Hunter Center and the ice cream spot near the elevator and seating area. I noticed this when I sought out shelter. I took a pic of that screen this year and I'll post it when I'm on my computer. Btw, they played Panthers and not Message From Mid Bar.

  19. I had an elevator ride yesterday with Garrison Keillor at my hotel. I didn't realize that he had A Praire Home Companion last night at Tanglewood. Huey Lewis AND The News is there tomorrow night.
  20. UPDATE from Solid Sound Twitter: Wilco set tonight to begin at 8:15 due to heavy rains. https://mobile.twitter.com/SolidSoundFest?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Other Joe's Field revisions to follow.
  21. If you want to avoid your cell phone altogether, there is a screen with up to date social media in the main lobby. At least there was one in 2013. I recommended such a thing on here back in 2011. dagwave, I'll be staying in Pittsfield too and I'd recommend a dry run, if you haven't already to Mass MoCa. It's definitely a dark drive on some old country roads.
  22. Yes, I already had an account set up, so I purchased it online and signed into my Vimeo account on Apple TV and it was waiting in there to be played. I won't spoil the ending either! Wow! I'm sure someone will turn that into an audio file. Imagine how much stuff they didn't use. Would anyone else pay for individual sets of certain artists? I know that I would. Spoilers: The songs are listed in the end credits. I was excited to see some "new" Wilco tunes which must have been in the installation. Those tiles are: Coconut Oil, Wilco Fundamentals 55-57, Tamale Never Knows, Wilco Fundamentals
