  1. If you want to avoid your cell phone altogether, there is a screen with up to date social media in the main lobby. At least there was one in 2013. I recommended such a thing on here back in 2011. dagwave, I'll be staying in Pittsfield too and I'd recommend a dry run, if you haven't already to Mass MoCa. It's definitely a dark drive on some old country roads.
  2. Yes, I already had an account set up, so I purchased it online and signed into my Vimeo account on Apple TV and it was waiting in there to be played. I won't spoil the ending either! Wow! I'm sure someone will turn that into an audio file. Imagine how much stuff they didn't use. Would anyone else pay for individual sets of certain artists? I know that I would. Spoilers: The songs are listed in the end credits. I was excited to see some "new" Wilco tunes which must have been in the installation. Those tiles are: Coconut Oil, Wilco Fundamentals 55-57, Tamale Never Knows, Wilco Fundamentals
  3. I'm currently watching this on my Apple TV's Vimeo App. I wound up buying this last night right after midnight and I was surprised that it wasn't ready. Oh well. Spoilers! I'm a half hour in, so far it's been a very lengthy rehearsal clip of Wilco doing Marquee Moon, a Neko Case song, Dream Syndicate's Days Of Wine & Roses, a Sean Rowe song, a White Denim song and a brief clip of Wilco rehearsing Cut Your Hair which perfectly seques into the Friday night covers' show footage of the whole song and now Tommy Stinson just walked on for Color Me Impressed which is how I feel so far actual
  4. Wow! According to the schedule, it looks like Wilco is playing from 9:15-12:40 on Friday night. That's probably only an estimated end time. Wilco on Saturday night 9:15-12 and Tweedy is 4:30-7 on Sunday. Terrific! 2013 Parking & Shuttle info I'm posting this here to not confuse anyone, but to point out that the abandoned Wal*Mart parking lot off of Route 8 (D on the map) is now an Ocean State Job Lot. I'd have to assume that this means that this parking lot is off limits this year which would suck because I'm staying in Pittsfield. I'll wait and see. Anyways, for newbies this should be
  5. The one thing that I would recommend and would also ask for advice on is late night eats. That one horse town sure done close down early, so bring snacks! I think a hotel's restaurant in Pittsfield (40 minutes away) closes at midnight and that's about it. I vaguely recall a pizza place over in Williamstown that might close late as well. http://www.colonialpizza.com/Contact_Us.html I should clarify that it's tough coming down from a Wilco show and that's all that I got. Also, I'm late to the party on discussing Joe's Field. I'm too lazy to go and check if anyone mentioned that there were s
  6. Funny! I saw opsopcopolis' recordings on U2Start & recognized his handle from here. Glad both of you enjoyed the Phoenix shows. Following along at home I was a little bummed about the 2nd night's lack of changes. Oh well. This 5 night run in L.A. will be interesting to watch and could be similar with lack of diversity. While discussing L.A., I should bring up that ticket drops have been happening before every show. And it's been mostly GA tix. I wasn't going to download the Phoenix shows, but from what I heard it's the best crowd on the tour and that makes a huge difference, so I may ch
  7. I'm sorry for your loss, Analogman.
  8. OH! If anyone wants to try the Periscope thing I'll explain to you how to get it set up. It's easy. I didn't have it before the 1st Vancouver show and signed up in no time. If you're on your phone or computer, hit up the app store and download Periscope. It will ask you to link with your Twitter account. I didn't have a Twitter account and created one within a minute. I found a link that looked like Periscope.TV in the atU2 or u2Interference forum and clicked on it and it linked up in under a minute. You can search for links on Twitter with hash tags, but it's easier to see one posted in
  9. You're welcome, Analogman. I'd love to hear Heartland and I could picture them doing it at least once. Shit. They did do an on the cuff version of Hawkmoon 269 on the European Elevation tour once. Before I forget, if you're looking for tickets u2interference and atu2's forums have lots for face or below. sleapman, I've seen U2 16 times since the PopMart tour. I didn't go to both 360 shows when they came to Gillette Stadium around Boston. Speaking of which, I know that they think they have to save some songs for their supposed stadium tour next summer. This tour hasn't sold out completely
  10. My thoughts on the tour so far: Well, thanks to current technology I was able to watch both Vancouver shows via Periscope and it was pretty awesome. I'd recommend stopping by atu2.com & u2gigs.com or U2intereference.com for setlist parties that will list links for Periscope streams. Vancouver night 1 was pretty good, but fell flat in the lifeless encore. Vancouver night 2 was all around much better and felt like a proper U2 show with an amazing group of songs in the encore. It's no surprise that last night's San Jose show was the best bits of U2's Vancouver shows except they resorted to th
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bC-3rnv_b3o Terrence Malick's latest, Knight Of Cups, looks pretty amazing. Excellent trailer with tons of beautiful cinematography & music. Would you expect anything less from him? Great cast too! 2015
  12. That's pretty cool! Was that the legendary show ('87 Joshua Tree tour) that was announced on WAAF and tickets went on sale almost immediately. I lucked out on tickets. My best friend decided to renew his subscription and we wound up with 2 GAs for Boston 3 last Friday during fan club presale. Today, I almost got shut out for Night 4, but after 40 minutes I got 2 separate seats in the cheaper Loge (section 5) across from the stage. Strangely enough both seats are separated by one row and seat number, so I can look back and see my friend to my right. I highly recommend checking out the U2
  13. I'm torn on the 3 shows that I've heard and that are available (thanks tapers!), but this one stuck out to me the most on the single fact that Sunken Treasure (album version) and Misunderstood were played so close together and so early. I don't recall this in any show I've seen or any setlist I've read on here. Wait! OK. At the June 2005 Agganis Arena show in Boston Sunken Treasure was played (acoustic style) then Spiders and an encore and back out with Misunderstood. I was at that show.
  14. badu2fan is correct, however on the 360 tour the limit for the presale ticket purchase was 4 tickets. I'd say buy a subscription now and go for the MSG show (preferably the last one for best shot at GA) and of course those bastards (or the new manager) will probably make ticket sales happen in early January 2016 just in time for new U2 subscriptions. I can only see them selling out stadiums in untouched markets or just 1 show per stadium in LA, Boston, NYC (NJ). I'm expecting some really big opener for that leg to get a bigger draw. In my head I'm considering these 4 shows in Boston as my l
  15. As rumored last week, U2 adds additional shows in the same cities, thus bringing some city totals from anywhere from 4 shows to 6. All of the new dates will have a U2.com members presale running this Wednesday (December 10) through Friday (December 12), with the public ticket sales beginning next Monday, December 15. New ticket codes will not be issued for existing U2.com members. If you didn't use up your code yet, or if you're a new U2.com member, you can buy during the presales this week. Montreal: June 16 & 17 Chicago: June 28 & 29 Boston: July 14 & 15 New York City: July 2
  16. I treated myself to U2's membership on my birthday last Wednesday, the date of the announcement, and I wound up getting 2 GAs for Boston 1. Today I picked up a pair of balcony seats behind the stage. My friend got a pair in the balcony across from the stage. I don't think there was any difference in price. Yes, allegedly one night will be Innocence & the other will be Experience which can mean anything at this point. Maybe they'll do songs off of the yet-to-be-released Songs Of Experience on Night 2s? And who knows if they'll stick to just the 80s for the Innocence? Nothing concrete yet
  17. Tour dates to be announced at 9a.m on the official site & on the radio. Rumours: tour opens May 14 & May 15 in Vancouver. 8 shows in LA (May 26-June 8). 4 in Montreal. 4 in Boston. 6 in Chicago with a date of July 6th being thrown around. And 8 in NYC in late July. I hope that the Boston shows don't mess with Solid Sound.
  18. $43.99 for The Whole Love + a tin of popcorn. Hmm. That sounds like a night at the movies. Only $4 goes to charity? That's very sad. Popcorn is so cheap to make and that tin looks cheap too. "Jane Addams Hull House Association, an organization that focuses on improving the living conditions of underserved citizens. With 86 percent of the association’s clients living below the poverty line, its services reach all types of people in areas ranging from child care to senior programs, and from economic development to homeless services." While I respect the effort, it just doesn't seem right th
  19. Yes, I realize that and was going to point that out but didn't it feel it to be necessary (I'm a filmmaker and know about that thanks though. I was pointing out how much darker it was due it to being duplicated on VHS. The Zoo TV Special & Until The End Of The World off of the Best Of 90-00 DVD didn't look as dark because it wasn't 2nd or 3rd Generation.). Anyone can definitely tell that there are a ton more lights everywhere in the Sydney show. What baffled me though was the Adelaide Nov 93 show that was filmed a week prior that had as much lighting as the 92 D.C. show and looked just as
  20. Dime A Dozen is tougher to get into than (insert unrequited lover of your choice). Actually, U2torrents is a fine site that is easy to navigate through with tours being broken up etc. Here's Bad from that D.C. show that I am pleased to have on DVD. It's a bit dark (hopefully due to being traded & dubbed on VHS amongst the U2 fanbase) and filmed a bit weird. Or rather directed rather lazily, as if this was a test for the Zoo TV Special which it probably was. It seems like there's 4 (or 6) camera setups and that's it. Anyways, this portion of the show I love because it shows U2 practically
  21. I put up the Outside Broadcast bootleg and I'm surprised that the links won't work (or never worked. they worked for me. Maybe if we all used Drop Box it'd be a lot easier to put stuff up.). Anyways, I for one thought that they had the perfect opportunity to release the 1992 D.C. Outside Broadcast show that was filmed but never used for anything really. It is out there and I finally found it after like 15 years. It would have been much better than putting in the Sydney 1993 show (in the ridiculously huge box set) that is obviously already available. Edit: It was the perfect show to pick too
  22. Most indie record stores and Barnes & Noble carry the magazine. I'm not so sure if it will be available to us in the U.S. tomorrow.
