Lest not forget that last year at the Trade Deadline the Red Sox could have acquired Victor Martinez & CLIFF LEE for Justin Masterson & CLAY BUCHHOLZ. Either way the Yankees will make out in the end (read: offseason). 1.) They pass on giving up 6th rated prospect C Jesus Montero who would come up right when Jorge decides to hit Sunny Side Acres. 2.) They get to sign him after he comes off of the Rangers' post season run (I don't think they'll get too far. Although, I love the possibility of not seeing the Angels again in the post season) on their own terms and not lose any prospects. 3.) They get to miss him tonight in Seattle. 4.) They'll probably get another "Rental" out of someone with lesser value.

What a silly emotional roller coaster ride this has been for certain cities. From a fan of the Boston Celtics I'm not too happy with the Big 3 returning. They will be pampered throughout the season to gain a slot into the post season. This isn't really fair to most season ticket holders. My dad keeps telling me that Elton & Leon are going to have a tour in the fall. It's going to celebrate Elton's 40 year anniversary of 1st playing in America at the Troubador and also 11-17-70. Hmm. I could have sworn that when Braden got his Perfect Game they (ESPN) made a big deal out of it being Gabe Kapler getting the last out in that game and Buerhle's game. Just throwing in my .02 cents. I think it's pretty obvious that the possibility of a 2nd Wilco performance on Sunday is HIGHLY likely. I think that they want to keep it a SURPRISE and make it come off as improvised. People are going to be there to see Tweedy anyways. It's not like someone else is closing out on Sunday night.
