Just dipping my feet in this thread for now, but what year are you living in? Brave would be out already. It's actually coming out in 2012 according to this link - Disregard The Website Name It's The Best I Could Find In Short Time So That People Weren't Demanding Brave This Weekend

I went to go flip to ESPN (to see the Cubs & White Sox) in between the NBA Championship game and lo and behold I turned it on right as Juan Pierre came into the batter's box and then in one minute he blew Ted Lilly's (a.k.a. Colin Farrell) bid for a No Hitter. Talk about timing! 2010 definitely seems like the "new" Year Of The Pitcher. Edit (for possible trade discussions): I keep hearing that the Yankees & Mets are very interested in Cliff Lee. Dear Mariners, please send Cliff Lee to Citi Field. The White Sox & Diamondbacks appear to be the big sellers with their o

My dad was at this game. He also flew out to Philadelphia a month ago to meet a couple of friends and saw the "1 Hitter" from Daisuke. He certainly has had luck picking games this year.

Red Dawn Remake Gets Delayed Indefinitely As we recently heard, some members of the Chinese press aren't too happy about the country's depiction as invaders in the RED DAWN remake. Turns out they may not have a movie to worry about -- the update of the kid-guerrilla classic was originally scheduled for release in November, but as of now it's nowhere in sight. No, the studio didn't flinch after the negative feedback. In truth, there's not really a studio at the moment -- RED DAWN was an MGM production. And MGM's widely publicized problems means that until the studio stabilizes and/or its

An interesting article that I came across at Dark Horizons (a great Australian website for movie news). Dark Horizons Link The "Red" Scare Gets Rebooted By Garth Franklin Monday June 7th 2010 01:06PM With the Cold War still very much in effect in 1984, it came as no real surprise that John Milius' "Red Dawn" used the Soviets as the antagonist in its tale of American school kids taking up arms against an invading military force that has occupied their small town. Of course the political landscape of the world has shifted so much in the past quarter-century that any attempt at a contemp

So which came first: the demographic or the product? (I am quoting myself from the other thread that I linked to on here) The easiest and simple truth is that there always will be people who are between the ages of 8 & 21 who will be experiencing movies for the 1st time in some capacity. What I mean is that for every generation there are certain films that define what a filmgoing experience is to them. Depending on how into films this age group is most stuff put out there will seem somewhat new, unless if they're constantly downloading older films off of Netflix. And at a certain point t

I'm thinking that they will release the inevitable post retirement Live Collection DVD of all of that stuff. Every past tour dating back to Zoo TV has been filmed for the live experience, so I expect a good chunk of stuff to be put on here such as Window In The Skies, Your Blue Room, etc. Yes, they pulled up 4 men for the 360 tour debut of Stay in Berlin. I actually listened to that boot last night for the 1st time in awhile. Bono tried to mimic the video by having those 4 men play the U2 roles and watch the band as they performed the song.

VC Thread About Clash Of The Titans Remake Which Turned Into An 80s Remake Discussion
-
I'll come back here to remake my flimsy answer, as this stuff does interest me and is in my field. Edit: There's a similar thread when PopTodd, I think, started a thread about the Clash Of The Titans remake. Irony? Anyways, I mentioned how many of this year's releases are 80s remakes, reboots & sequels ( ) a la Tron & Wall Street. But I will write more. I only heard about the Wizard Of Oz film where they explain how it came to be written, much like Finding Neverland for Peter Pan. And Robert Downey, Jr.'s name kept being tossed around for L. Frank Baum. Apparently, that isn't t

The special song that comes with the disc is only available starting June 22nd. It's been a really confusing time to buy a simple live dvd. I read that they cancelled the bonus deluxe edition which I assumed was the 2 disc edition (which I finally ended up buying), but it turns out that it is indeed the one below. 360 Tour Live DVD SUPER DUPER RIDICULOUS DELUXE EDITION I didn't know about the bonus track and I'm sure I'll get it somehow through a U2 message board. Anyways, I went to my local Target with $13 left on a Xmas gift card and found only the single dvd set and assumed like I menti

PIxies cancel Israel concert after deadly Gaza raid

If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at some guys, throw one of those little baby-type pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think of how crazy war is, and while they're thinking, you can throw a real grenade. -

Elton will play Israel because Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting..... He will probably donate the $1 million to his own Elton John Aids Foundation. It's a shame though how he earned the money. It's amazing how he's always on the verge of bankruptcy even when he's been playing in Vegas for the past 4 or so years. As Analogman stated he is a big spender and needs to tone it down a notch. This explains why he always seems to tour over and over again with Billy Joel and do his own (with/without his band) constant touring of the U.S., etc. and does practically the same show and songs. This one just happened to me the other day and it was one that I forgot about. When you are by yourself and someone asks you "How are WE doing today?" Are my current multiple personalities manifesting themselves for everyone to see? I guess they might mean "we" as in that person and myself in this current situation. If that is truly the case, then it sounds like that other person wants you to ask them "how are YOU doing?" It makes me feel like Tyler Durden....actually, the Narrator sounds more accurate.

YES! I was watching Sport Center late last night and I did notice that Joyce began to put his right arm forward in an "OUT" call but then moved his arm to the right while he moved his left arm out. It's actually more obvious in slow motion.

It's a shame that Armando is paying dearly for Andres' (his father) sins, such as banging Jim Joyce's wife in the Funicular at Parc D'Olympic. They call him "The Big Cat."

Actually, it's odd that this pinned thread was given life today as I had an idea about a calendar for VC the other day. What if we dedicated a calendar to a particular album, since most albums have 12 songs? I guess the intrigue would be to capture the poetic imagery of Tweedy in photographs. Either a specific lyric or a song title. But the calendar would be in the album running order. I'm sure someone has thought about this in the past, but I didn't see anything in the 6 pages here. Edit: I also would maybe throw around the idea of not just photographs, but maybe original VC created a

I know what I forgot to write about. Damn. Well, the whole Series Finale episode was the most surreal television or film experience I think I've had in my life. To have all of these theories etc. and then know that this was it. And keeping an eye on the clock to see how much time was left. I think it ultimately had to do with the notion that once we find out how Lost ends we'll never be able to have that sense of not knowing. So it was like this weird filling in of that gap right before our eyes in real time and being really in the present moment. It was quite amazing when the final
