Sorry, I've been quite review happy lately... I love Matt Nathanson... not only is he quite adorable with a fantastic voice, but where else can you hear beautiful songs only to have the singer banter between songs with gems such as "the prostate don't discriminate" (subtitled "a finger in the ass is a finger in the ass")? He and his guitarist also spent much time talking about alternate words for "vagina". The one I remember is "gorilla salad". Yikes. Early in the show, for no apparent reason, some fan decided to yell out the CU Buffs record (0-5). Matt was confused. When he finall

First off, I have to admit that I was WAAAAAAAAAY late in coming to the Rilo Kiley party. I had never heard of them until early this year, when I kept hearing all this buzz about the new Jenny Lewis album. I think I checked out Rabbit Fur Coat before I got into Rilo Kiley... either way I am totally enamored of both bands. I think that Rilo Kiley is my current favorite band - a dead heat with the Eels, anyway. I have a huge girl crush on Jenny Lewis. HUGE. So when I found out a month or so ago that she was coming to Denver I was ever so excited. September 30 at the Fillmore. I thought.

I've got several live Rhett shows... mainly older, solo or with the instigators. I've got a couple form this year, but not the specific show you're looking for. At any rate, I'd be happy to b&p a few shows for you. Just let me know. Rhett

I saw Band Of Horses in Boulder tonight. Holy fucking hell, did they sound good! I'd never heard of them until a few months ago when someone recommended their "Everything All The Time" (EATT) album. I liked it immediately. I hear them compared to My Morning Jacket a lot, but I don't know - to me they kind of sound like The Shins. At any rate, it's a fabulous album. I didn't know what to expect from the show, as it turned out it was way more rocking than I thought it would be, based on EATT... they started with The First Song (well, obviously...) I can't remember what was next, but son

My nieces (3 and 1 1/2) LOVE LOVE LOVE Laurie Berkner. And I can handle her music without wanting to kill myself. They also like The Boy Least Likely To... probably the poppiness/catchy tunes. My nephew, who is 6 now, always liked the Beatles when he was little. Oh they like Barenaked Ladies too, always want to hear the "million dollar song".

In a few weeks, Yo La Tengo and We Are Scientists are playing on the same night. I like both bands, but have never seen either one live. Which do I choose? Please discuss.
