I was watching the MLB network today, and one of the shows (don't remember which one) posited this interesting solution for a possible problem for two teams. The signings of Fielder by Detroit and Reyes by Florida has created a situation where two premier bats will be playing out of position next year: Both Cabrera and Ramirez moving to third. Solution: A head up player for player trade Cabrera to Florida (where he can play first) Ramirez to Detroit (Where he can play Short) Florida can trade Gabby Sanchez for pitching depth and it works for everybody. There was certainly a lot of anger floating around back in the day on the board. I expect vitriol from reviewers to a certain degree...they are the star in their own movie and resent anything that they might dislike in a most disproportionate fashion.

Jam Bands...only the Allmans' with Duane. Everything else sounds unimaginative, self-indulgent and boring. Rap...I'm a 52 year old white guy. I'm sure the rappers aren't losing any sleep over not selling me any stuff. But I am less than not interested in hearing their misogynistic and jaded songs. Former blind spots...House, Electronica, Dubstep. My daughter is back home and she is majorly into electorina and house (I threw in The Dubstep as a joke. Exactly. He has been on the DL missing significant time since he resurfaced in 2007. He has not failed any of his numerous drug tests since 2007. But the falling off the wagon and drinking is certainly scary. I think he scared himself this time.

You do understand that Hamilton's issues in the earlier years were Crack and possibly Meth related, don't you? Alcohol was his gateway drug. I don't imagine there will be a humorous way out if he falls all the way back.

I was watching INTENTIONAL TALK on the MLB network yesterday, and Kevin Millar took a bit of a backhanded swipe at Miguel Cabrerra in his comments about Hamilton's issue. "He was alone in a bar, he didn't drive and endanger himself or others..." Wonder how that will play in the Motor City? If I was able to gather who he was referring to, then I'm sure others were able to make the connection also.
