1) Flaming Lips - HOLY HELL! I have seen these guys a few times but this one was amazing. We waited 6 hours to get as close to the front as we could and we were about 4 rows back. They did a "sound check" 2 hours before the show in which they played Black Sabbath war pigs... I LOVE WAYNE! they also did their own sound in which they were just hanging out around the stage for about 3 hours before the show talking with the crowd and you could just tell they were having a good time. 2) DJ Shadow - as this was his last show in his US tour, you could tell he gave it every thing he had. I can't justify being at a music festival and not knowing wilco was playing and I wasn't there... I dunno. I have really wanted to see the decemberists though, I am assuming there will be more opportunities.

this sounds like an AWESOME festival to me. There seems to be a lot of diversity and I really think thats what festivals should be about. Question for the VC? Does anyone out here like drum n bass music? I saw dieselboy and andy c where playing at this and almost creamed my pants. REALLY wish I lived in maryland....really wish it wasn't same weekend as lollapalooza.... BUT IT LOOKS AWESOME!
