Finally, the voice of reason! Lets lock those justices in Gitmo. Boo-yah!

Back in the day, I never cared for his harmonies with Bobby and Jerry. I just wanted him to shut up and play. I've since changed my mind.

Yesterday, in response to the ruling, Obama said the ruling was "a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and other powerful interests that marshall their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans." Thanks for that, Pres. What are you going to do about it?

I'm so confused....should I have the kids pray to General Electric or the sky gods tonite?

Washington (CNN) -- The Supreme Court has given big business, unions and nonprofits more power to spend freely in federal elections, a major turnaround that threatens a century of government efforts to regulate the power of corporations to bankroll American politics.

Wilco. When UT split, I decided I liked my country music sad so I went with Sun Volt and paid no attention at all to Wilco outside of hearing Casino Queen a few times which completely reinforced my choice. I wisened up around 2002 or so but have since reconsidered after Wilco's last couple albums. And so it goes.....

Its almost certainly happened already. Dead asian carp have been found in the Lincoln Park Zoo pond (thanks to my buddy), in Marquette Park pond and I believe in Columbus Park pond as well. What we have here are people who like carp and think they are doing themselves and the carp a favor by transporting them to new waters. In my book, I call that ecological terrorism. Anyone found doing so should be sentenced to a nice lengthy federal prison stay. I do believe there is a chance that the carp will not multiply in LM in big numbers. Thanks to the zebra mussel, another invasive species, the w

I probably mentioned this before but what the hell......me and my crew got up to Alpine for the Dead a day early, knowing full well that Dylan was playing, so we could beat the crowd and get our camp set up properly. After doing so, we walked up one of the ski hills and listened to the Dylan concert waft up and around. While the sound wasnt the best, we had a really really good time. Oh yeah....one of my buddies who had 2nd row seats for Bobby that night passed out in his chair and missed most of the show.

Great article, thanks! That was an awesome place to see/hear music-I got to see Pavement, Sea and Cake, the Slugs, Blake Babies, Uncle Tupelo, New Duncan Imperials, Bootyfruit and many others there over the years. I recall standing in front of there the last day they were open (I think Wilco was playing....or was it just Jeff?). It was mid afternoon and people were lined up to get in going all the way down the block. There was also that one dude who always recorded shows there. I had the impression he had an "in" with LAX to do so. I wonder if he's ever gonna release some of that stuff.....

I peeped that 1975 JGB release with Hopkins this morning. Just got through half of the first disc and am mighty pleased with it so far. If you dont have this, go get it!

Jerry was a player, he has no high ground to stand on so I'm sure he's got no beef with you.
-
But when you close your eyes, you're still thinking of Jerry, right?

Started "Botany of Desire" last night and I'm loving it.

Check this out.......from today's Sun Times......whoa! Tiger shows world how not to be a player Off golf course, he obviously doesn't know the game December 15, 2009 BY MARY MITCHELL Sun-Times Columnist I didn't want to say a word about Tiger Woods. But that's all people keep asking me: "What's up with Tiger?" Years ago, when Woods -- who was poised to rake in billions in endorsements for being the very best dark-skinned man ever to pick up a golf club -- married a nanny, I asked that same question. It struck me as incredibly odd that Woods would tie his billion-dollar future to

Stream Neil Young's new allbum.....
NightOfJoy replied to Sparky speaks's topic in Someone Else's Song
I saw Neil on that tour...just him, a guitar and a pump organ. This is going on the x-mas list with a quickness. EDIT-So I just went ahead and ordered it. While I was at it, I got the newest JGB release too. Damn my impulsive nature! -
I'm here to encourage that guy to post much more often. And yeah, that "1991, The Year Punk Broke" sure didnt do the early 90s scene any favors. Thurston Moore came off like a complete ass.
