Amen to that.

This is sad news. What a beautiful musician. Oh, to be home again.

Actually, for those of us who will eventually be accruing the Europe 72 shows disc by disc, do you have any recommendations on where to start? Or should I just collect chronologically?

Watched again yesterday. I forgot just how damn good everyone is in this film.

8 can sometimes be easier if you ignore 7. But I am personally enjoying 13 and 14 right now on holidays. -
Thanks. Funny, your description is exactly how I thought it might be.

What's this like? I'm keen to hear it.

Some time ago now a friend gave me a book on aphorisms: We Are What We Think by James Geary and I've enjoyed returning to it sporadically over the years. The difference between a rut and a grave is the depth. and Doubt not. You gather friends around you as a hair clasp gathers the hair. -

Much the same response I used to get on rec.music.dylan back in the day. Yeah, I do. I think it's a fun album. I found myself listening to it a lot some years ago during a time in my life where many things were happening that I remember now with fondness. One of Dylan's worst? Sure. Underrated? You betcha. I like your choice of Street Legal. Now there's an album that came to me during a rather turbulent and shitty time in my life. Great record, though. -

Mark Olson's post-Jayhawks group with Victoria Williams. -
Mr Ellroy is very intense and I love the imagined conversations and scenarios as well. As far as favourite books go, I loved the LA Quartet: The Black Dahlia, The Big Nowhere, L.A. Confidential and White Jazz. White Jazz is sublime. Just finished this: Slow to start and I was wondering when things were gonna happen. I ended up quite liking it. Have now started and am looking forward to:

1. Pigpen's organ playing 2. Dylan's "Self Portrait" 3. Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers -
I saw him about 3 weeks ago in Sydney. It was one of the most beautiful concerts I think I've attended. Two guitars & one drumkit for instrumentation + 3 voices. The sound was perfect and he was in such fine voice. Sublime show. Still on a high.
