Things which are modern... and not so...

Man, what a song. Bring on that box set. This sounds very promising.

Man, I love youtube. Haven't heard the album yet (buying it tonight!) but what a great song. It's great to see Jim White letting loose once again.

Stuck Inside Of Mobile... Oh man, what a version!

Haven't listened in a while. Nels' Muzzle of Bees solo really blasts.

Ignore the video but does anyone know where this version comes from? Listening to Ryan Adams with Gillian...well, I don't think David Rawlings has much to worry about.

Hmmm...it's now listed for $17.99 at Amazon. Hot demand, perhaps?

Yes, a great Pavement album. Surely they'll get to it. If they've re-issued the first three there's no reason to believe (crossed fingers) they won't get to the rest in their own time.

Wow... down here it's the other way around. I wish I could post some pics but there are some things happening in the garden which let us know that spring is close to arriving: tiny lizards scurrying around the steps as we walk up to the front door, buds emerging on our citrus tree. It's like the whole place has been asleep and is just starting to rub its eyes awake... Fritz in Sydney

if you wanna come on down down with your bones so white and watch the freight trains pound into the wild wild night how I would love to gnaw gnaw on your bones so white and watch as the freight trains paw paw at the wild wild night all these ghost towns wreathed in old loam Assateague knee- deep in seafoam ho, Swansea! Buttonwillow! Lagunitas! ho, Calico! and all these beastly bungalows stare distend like endless toads endlessly hop down the road borne by wind we southward blow and yonder, wild and blue the wild blue yonder looms 'til we are wracked with rheum by roads, by songs entomb
