The office has been tuned in to a radio station that has been playing Christmas tunes for the last 2 weeks or so. Without going off on a tangent as to how this epitomizes how over-commerialized the Holiday Season has become, this damn station plays that god-awful McCartney Christmas song at least once every two hours. If I hear those inane lyrics and annoying synthizer track once more (and I will prior to 1:30 p.m. today) I just might . I think I'd rather hear "Ebony and Ivory" at this point.

No thanks. Going into the Division II playoff would most likely mean a match-up against Grand Valley State. Everyone knows that GVSU has the hottest football program in the Great Lakes State.
-
Snow Bowl II? Plus, I fixed your sign-off for ya. No need to thank me. Hope your team has fun in Orlando.

Wow. I'd like to know how one "breaches the peace" in one's own, locked bedroom. There has got to be more to this story than what is being reported. And someone should alert the International Cycling Federation and the Tour de France of this new development in cycling.

Internet rumor (MGoBlog) is that Carr will announce his retirement next week. If this is true, I hope it was a decision that he made on his own, and was not forced into it by the Athletic Dept. and or others in the University's administration. The man deserves to go out on his own terms, and be remembered in the same company as Yost, Crisler, and Schembechler. Go Blue!!!!

I said I was going out on a limb. My only fear is that tOSU has a great game and the Alleged Best Damn Band plays that #%$@& "Hang on Sloopy" over and over and over. When your seats are 4 rows behind the visitor's band, it can get pretty damn annoying. Go Blue!!!!!

Hell, I will go out on the limb: Henne, Hart, and Long get the win that justifies coming back for their senior year, Lloyd gets the better of the ol' Sweater Vest, Michigan gets redemption against the Ducks in the Rose Bowl, Lloyd retires on a high note, and Les Miles comes home after a victory in the MNC game against the Jayhawks. Go Blue!!!!

Finally, the best week of the college football year! So who cares if this is the first time both teams come into The Game off of losses since 1959. It still is for the Big 10 championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Just like 1978! Go Blue!!!!

The Clash - "Pressure Drop" (Toots and the Maytals) -Despite the fact that it is being used to shill for Nissan. Bryan Ferry - "A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall" (Dylan) Circle Jerks - "Golden Shower of Hits" (Various 70's pop stylist)

It is Election Day in the U.S. of A.

Pro or con? That would influence my vote. -
I will agree with your assessment that Stanford (and their turncoat bastard of a head coach) fall within the definition of B.) above. However, Appy State on September 1, 2007 was not a ridiculously crappy team. I truly believe that team could have beaten 80% of the Division 1-A teams on that date (including other teams ranked in the top 25 at the time). With that said, I would be more than happy for Michigan to have another shot at USC in the Rose Bowl. Go Blue!!! Beat Bucky and the Bucks!!!

The chances of U of M going to the Rose Bowl (or any other BCS game for that matter) if they lose to tOSU are slim and none, and slim went home. Currently U of M is ranked 12th in the BCS. Assuming a win over the Badgers in Madison (which is no sure thing) and a tOSU win over the Illini, tOSU would still remain in the top spot, but U of M would probably only move up to the 8 - 10 range. If the Sweatervest works his evil magic once again and tOSU wins in A2, U of M would drop out of the top 12 of the BCS. The Big 11 would only have one team in the top 12 and I seem to recall that teams must

Time Bandits - it was a midnight movie, and about 20 minutes into the movie, my date said she wanted to engage in some other type of shall we say mutually physical activity.

And led the University of Michigan to a Rose Bowl victory and a (split) national championship.

I didn't read that entire article/press release, but isn't A-Rod a paid endorser of Pepsi? What a suprise that he wins an award "presented" by the product he endorses.

My avatar already is ready for Halloween, because when you think about it, the only thing scarier than a 4-assed monkey is repeal of the 22nd amendment and a third term for W.

I knew you would come through. Face it, you and I both want Nov. 17 to be for the out right Big 11 championship.

Rumor has it that Mike Hart may not start and if he plays it may only be in a limited role. I don't like U of M's chances against the Illini w/o the Hart & Soul of the team. If anyone has spare vibes, direct them to the kid's ankle. Thanks. Oh and Go Blue!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Any chance that this recording (the Calvin show) could be made available to the wider general listening population?

I better get a LOT of new clients out of the seminar that I spoke at last night because that set list is/was AMAZING. I can't imagine a better group of songs to close a show than what was included in the second encore. Consider this a renewal of my request for another Wilco show in or near SW Michigan real soon.

Was this back in August '94 when Bob played the two nights? If it was, I was there for the first show. An amazing night that was only marred by two hippies getting into a fight right near center stage.

I saw SRV & DT at the Kalamazoo County Fair the night (or maybe 2 nights) before the Alpine Valley shows. A fantastic night after a day of elephant ears and looking at livestock. It is still the most memorable night of music I have ever experienced.

Sound Money, if I recall correctly.

Only 33 days to go.
