  1. This place has it listed for $2550. That's too much for me, but I guess it's not outrageous considering a mass produced Fender Twin or Deluxe Reverb sell in the $1000 range. http://www.rocknrollvintage.com/buy-divided-by-13-amps.htm
  2. I don't know what model that is, but it looks like a Divided by 13 amp. http://www.dividedby13.com/ EDIT--- Here's the exact model (with a slightly different speaker cabinet): http://www.dividedby13.com/jrt915.html I'll bet that thing sounded like a dream.
  3. Just when we got fed up with pretending to like soccer, now we're going to pretend to like bicycle races.
  4. Interesting that a website called "Hippies Are Dead" is interviewing a band that is 50% hippie.
  5. When and if Wilco puts their songs on Rock Band kids will get into them again.
  6. I haven't listened to him all that much either. This is the only Screaming Trees album I've heard in its entirety, and its always enjoyable. To my ears it holds up better than other "grunge" era bands/releases. Musically it's sort of Stooges-esque: I think I'll listen to it when I get home.
  7. That's all good to hear. I really enjoy Magic and Medicine, Nightfreak and the Sons of Becker and Invisible Invasion***. Their first album never won me over (I should give it another shot sometime soon), but I fully expect I'll like this new one and the previous one. ***WARNING! I just remembered, the original release of Invisible Invasion had some software on the cd that made computers vulnerable to virus attacks, and sent a bunch of information to Sony. So, if anyone is reading this and tries to check out The Coral, perhaps by purchasing a used cd, please keep that in mind and DO N
  8. Not really. Frankly, for purely selfish reasons, if the next album isn't stellar, I'd like to see them shake up the lineup.
  9. Thanks for that. That was an interesting read.
  10. That's true. To my knowledge they haven't come to the US in several years, and certainly not to the south. I think they'd go over very well if they spent some time touring the states. I never heard Roots and Echoes, their last one, because it was always $20+. Fortunately it's now down to a reasonable price so I'll have to pick it up soon. Anyway, NP:
  11. Is this new? The Coral seem to be an underappreciated band, at least in this country.
  12. You're right, but I meant it'd do Wilco some good.
  13. Nels Cline Singers opening for Carla Bozulich's Red Headed Stranger (which is Carla with the singers backing her up.)
  14. fIREHOSE opening Beastie Boys Check Your Head tour.
  15. I'll bet they'll get sick of recording and play a Chicago show. Probably right after they get an amazing album in the can and decide to scrap it.
  16. Here's a nice review of the Singers show at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia courtesy of All About Jazz: http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=37033
  17. This record has been in my "on deck" pile for 12 years and I finally listened to it this morning.
  18. Now, was that SO f-ing difficult?
  19. Perhaps, but putting out sucky albums tends to be a great career move for musicians.
  20. I wonder why the author of that article feels the fan base is "unlikely to grow" in coming years.
  21. I guess I'm not going to Las Vegas afterall. Tickets to the Matador thing sold out instantly.
